This is a hidden gem. It's a fun game, with fun aliens and structures. I wish it would get a true remaster because the idea of making basically, a resort for alines on a space station is really unique.

when i was about 10 years old i was i played this game when it was on gametap just because it had aliens in it when i play this game now i get nostalgia for the hours i spent on this game even though its dated it really is fun to play and experience if you havent already you can play it many ways against cpu friends or just chill out building up your way station if you are in to aliens city building you'll love this game

Nostalgic and still amazing as a game to this day. The writing and voice acting is perfect in an almost post-camp manner, and the mechanics are much more engaging than base builders coming out today. This is a game I will come back to time and time again. No longer having my old disc, I'm very glad to have seen the steam release! To play on some modern hardware, you may need to follow tutorials and change some files, which is worth factoring in if you are looking to buy this game and are not confident in manually replacing files and adding patches. This does also come with the advantages of easily adding fan missions and other mods to expand on the game, the community is somewhat slowed down, but the dedication and niche quality of Startopia means there is a large amount of well made additions and documentation to assist with any technical issues and gameplay explainations. If you're on the fence, buy this game. Especially for a casual gamae, Startopia is charming and remains one of the best games I have played. Well worth the already reasonable price.
