Players appreciate that this free horror game offers a quick, entertaining experience with some genuine scares, though most criticize its brevity, sparse world-building, and reliance on cheap jump scares rather than deeper horror elements. The house feels bare and lifeless with minimal furniture or immersive details, and the story progresses in a stilted, contrived manner that feels more like moving between disconnected set pieces than a cohesive narrative. While some respect the developer's effort and the fact it's free, others find the game derivative of similar titles like Fears to Fathom a

This is truly a game of all time, the extremely loud ambience really added to the atmosphere. The guy's animation when I was being chased was truly horrific, that really got me. It was scary. The dialogue of the guy knocking on the door made me so scared. This game truly changed my perspective on life.
Fears to Fathom from Temu?!
Ouch… this one hurt. I absolutely love games like Fears to Fathom or Tales Beyond The Tomb, so I was really curious to see what this free indie horror experience had to offer. Unfortunately… not much. The house design feels extremely questionable — strange layouts, weird furniture choices, and even trash containers in the attic? The whole environment just feels off, but not in a creepy way. The story feels like Fears to Fathom: Home Alone — if it was ordered from Temu or Wish. The idea is there, but the execution just doesn’t work. Thankfully, the whole “horror experience” was over in less than 10 minutes. It’s free, but even then… I’d rather spend those 10 minutes doing literally anything else! 👎🏠😅

Well, it's free, and that's a big plus here, but perhaps the only plus. The world-building is quite lackluster. The layout of the house is as bare-bones as could be - only the essentials that compose a house (e.g. walls, doors, and a basic room layout) are present. Even then, there is little-to-no furniture in the house, and very few details to make the house seem lived in, save for a bed, some, some boxes, extremely basic levels of furniture, and some paintings. Therefore, the experience of the house is not very immersive. The pacing of the "story" is also quite stilted, as if you're only moving from one set piece to the next - more like checkers than chess - C'est bete comme chou. It's all so contrived though: "I'm sleepy now," "I'm hungry now," "the lights are out now," "I'm hallucinating now." That's pretty much how it goes, with nothing in between, nothing to explore, and no story components to carry any of it from one piece to the next. Oh putain! The jump scares are just waaaayyy too loud, perhaps in only the most classic style of jump scare. It gets your heart racing, but for all the wrong reasons. There really isn't any story around the bad guy, nor the hallucination…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuR2p0pRg-Y YouTube is crap, but this game wasn't. Yes, it's very short, but it's FREE and a fun way to kill about 15 mins. The creator of these games was like 15 when he made this, it's impressive so ignore the hateful people. If you like psychological horror with genuine, never stage reaction and you don't mind me being a little tipsy then check my channel out, I'd love to have you.
