About Strix STG

"Strix STG" is a "Communication-Synchronized Bullet-Hell Casual Vertical-Scrolling Shooting-Game". Let's aim to capture all 5 stages while destroying enemies. You can also choose from 5 levels of difficulty.
* Up to stage 2 has been implemented at the start of early access.
* There is a possibility that the contents of the stage will be changed until the final version is released.
The best feature of this game is the ability to play two-player co-op online. Simple chat with two types of fixed phrases is available, so please use it for role sharing.

* Currently, there is no save function for play data, so it is not possible to record the score. I may add a save function in the future based on user feedback.

"Strix STG" is an abandoned Early Access tech demo where the developer spent more time coming up with the "Communication-Synchronized Bullet-Hell Casual Vertical-Scrolling Shooting-Game" description than actually developing the game. What do you do in the game? It's a co-op shmup that barely works, looks hideous, and has a gimmick about communicating with the other player to help you play. Which you don't need to do to play, so that's pointless, isn't it. Yes. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 9 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn…

don't get fooled by the graphics, the gameplay is solid and is surprisingly fun to play. i hope the devs keep working on the game.

It looks like an ugly and basic attempt at Babby's First Unity Game with its primitive and flat-shaded polygons, but the 3 levels in this game are actually surprisingly well-designed. Now, I can't tell if most of this game is aping the enemy, boss and bullet patterns of some famous and well-known STG games, or if its mostly original, but my playthrough on Normal challenging and fun enough. I'd recommend this curiosity as a 15-minute time waster.
