It just feels so bland and doesn't keep me entertained at all. This feels more like a free game than a paid game.

Before playing Suitcase Stories, it is important to understand what kind of experience Creative Hand intended to create. Developed and published by Creative Hand, this indie title is not designed around competition, lengthy progression systems, or demanding puzzle mechanics. Instead, it embraces a quieter approach, asking players to explore a person's life through the belongings they choose to carry with them. From childhood to adulthood, every packed suitcase becomes a snapshot of a particular moment in time, creating a surprisingly heartfelt narrative without relying heavily on words. The game's concept revolves around organizing items into luggage across a series of life events. Players unpack and arrange hundreds of objects, gradually piecing together the unnamed protagonist's journey over seven chapters and 26 different suitcases. School supplies, treasured toys, travel mementos, and personal keepsakes all contribute to a story that feels universal. This understated method gives the experience a personal touch, as m…

Extremely short game, most likely not worth the price. However I won't refund it out of respect for the developers. Everyone's already talked about the problem with it trying to be ALTTL, but I want to touch on why it fails to be so. (And by that I don't mean trying to identically replicate the game, but the essence of it.) With organisation games, or any puzzle games in general, such as ALTTL, a huge component of player enjoyability, is intuitive level design. What games such as ALTTL do is they leave you with a bunch of groups of components that you naturally want to place together in a certain manner, and lightly push you via the 'the circle goes into the circle hole' method. What's the key component is that the game is able to also blend this with versatility, where the game accounts for you placing the circle in the square hole (not everyone thinks the same, and some things feel more logical to players than they might feel to the developers and vice versa). Suitcase Stories just doesn't do that. You're left with a bunch of square holes and random shapes. You think you might be able to make your own pattern, but the level design just isn't willing to clue you in on what it w…

It was fine. Cute graphics. Clunky mechanics. Very short.

While not as good as other games of this type and a bit too short, its quite fun and worth picking up on a discount!
