[h1] Parkour game set in fictional cartoon city. Controls are ok, you can wall run and slide so movement is generally swift and fluent. You will be climbing your way up and getting from rooftop to rooftop for the most part. Story is a bit long and you gonna hear dialogs all the time. Game feels kinda buggy though - don't leave it paused for too long or prepare for reset showing you some gameplay footage. Music will put you to sleep easily. Voice acting could've been better. Rather short and can be completed in half an hour. If you like masterpieces like Mirror's Edge, this game might be to your liking but fair warning it's not very polished and feels more like a demo. "Sunline" is a very mediocre "free running" game, which is a kinda weird way to say this is yet another of several hundred parkour platformers on Steam. This is not one of the best of those. It's not even close to being the best of those. There's a lame plot around there being a storm and therefore having to run around a really badly architected cityscape. Okay. Like all parkour platformers, this means a lot of wall running. The graphics here are particularly awful, low poly, untextured assets with some truly hideous attempt at celshading, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. Now onto pricing and value. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm g…
That was incredible! I've never played a first-person parkour game, so this was new and exciting. I was very impressed by the voice acting and overall storyline. Easy to piece together and lovable. The mechanics were smooth enough and the obstacles not too hard. Some areas were a little vague on how to proceed but there were several ways to go about it. The hardest part was the final level I think. Overall a really solid game!
Short game inspired of mirror’s edge. Is not bad, but kinda clunky in some parts. Still, the effort is appreciated because I will love to see more parkour videogames like these being made.
Highly appealing art style and pretty good gameplay. I recommend this game and look forward to any future work of the developers. The game being free is nice as well. If the game was longer (6+ hours), I would 10-20 USD for it. Like I said, the art style is good.
