About Lovanium - The Rising Suns
Lovanium is a story-rich 2D RPG with breathtaking battles. Featuring a captivating view and some touches of metroidvania in its gameplay, the game offers a unique approach to achieving goals with its incredible business mechanics and some benefits based on the light of day.STORY
Captain Sasha, along with her crew, is sent on a mission to uncover the disappearance of a ship after passing through the dark side of the moon. Upon reaching the disappearance site, they notice a small wormhole and are soon drawn in, hurtling into an unknown galaxy and colliding with Lovanium, a small planet with intelligent life placed in the center of 4 different solar systems. Now, Sasha and her crew must race against time to repair the ship and return before the wormhole closes, leaving them trapped there forever.
SHOPS
After discovering that the metal required to repair the ship is precisely used as currency by the people of Lovanium, Sasha gets the mayor's authorization to manage 3 shops within the trading village.
Flower shop: Flowers are highly appreciated in Lovanium, the rarer they are, the more valuable.
Food Market: Everybody needs to eat, and it's no different in Lovanium. Go hunting for wild animals, fruits, and fish.
Jewelry: The ancient people of Lovanium believed that the more shimmering stones you possess, the closer you are to your ancestors. So, grab your pickaxe and make a fortune through mining.
SUNS
As Lovanium is situated in the middle of 4 solar systems, there is no night. A daily cycle is lit by 4 distinct suns, each of which alters gameplay behavior. Therefore, understanding their benefits is crucial to achieving your objectives.
The white sun is like our morning on Earth. It shines brightly, but it's not very hot.
30% chance to get an extra drop of plants, fruits and rocks.
The yellow sun is not as bright and a bit warmer. It's when the monsters come out to hunt with more visibility.
20% chance to get an extra drop from monsters and 30% faster respawn.
Since the monsters are not big fans of the blue sun, the wealthier customers safely come to the city to do their shopping.
20% fewer monsters, and a 10% chance to receive a tip on sales.
The red sun is very dangerous for humans. The ship's dormitory is the safest place to rest.
-5 energy per second
QUESTS:
Like any good RPG, quests are warmly welcomed, and they contribute to the richness of the story of Lovanium. The ship's crew members will assign you tasks related to each of their expertise areas, and all of these are necessary to fulfill the ultimate objective, which is to make it back to Earth.

Lovanium: The Rising Suns is an ambitious indie action RPG developed and published by Poser Games that successfully combines exploration, business management, resource gathering, and adventure into a cohesive experience. Rather than following a traditional fantasy formula, the game introduces players to an unusual science-fiction setting where Captain Sasha and her crew become stranded on the mysterious planet of Lovanium after a failed mission and a dangerous encounter with a wormhole. Their only hope of returning home lies in repairing their damaged ship before their chance of escape disappears, creating a strong narrative motivation that drives the entire journey. The world of Lovanium is one of the game's strongest features. Positioned at the center of four solar systems, the planet feels unique from the moment players arrive. Exploration is constantly rewarded through new discoveries, resources, and encounters that help flesh out the setting. The game's progression encourages curiosity, with players gradually uncovering new areas, gathering materials, and learning more about the strange ecosystem surrounding them. The sense of adventure is enhanced by the fact that nearly eve…1 found this helpful
Lovanium for me is a breathtaking indie gem that combines stunning artwork and a mesmerizing soundtrack to create a unique and refreshing experience. The visuals are rich and immersive, drawing you into a vibrant world, while the music perfectly complements the mood of every scene. The game worked seamlessly on my Steam Deck, except for a few minor UI quirks. Thankfully, the developer has acknowledged these and promised updates, which is reassuring. The story is delightfully engaging, with twists and turns that keeps you invested. Gameplay-wise, Lovanium feels refreshingly unique, blending familiar mechanics with innovative features that make it stand out in the genre! Overall, Lovanium is a must-play for fans of visually and narratively driven games. With some very minor issues aside, this is an experience you really won’t want to miss. Looking forward to completing it!
Wow, this game was such an incredible experience! The story sucked me in right away. The mix of repairing the ship, dealing with the wormhole deadline, and meeting the intelligent life on Lovanium kept me hooked the whole time. The visuals are stunning, and the gameplay felt super rewarding. Highly recommend this if you’re into sci-fi adventures!
