I'm usually not a fan of VR games where you're limited in where you can go and enemies just come at you, but this game does it differently - probably because of the hectic swapping of building and shooting. Would have loved to see this developed more and perhaps a co-op mode added to it.2 found this helpful
"Super Raft Boat VR" is a simple VR tech demo, a shallow wave survival shooter where you wave your arms around while wearing a VR helmet to shoot fish that attack you while you sail on a raft. The gimmick is that you have to build the raft as you go because all the fish destroy it as they attack you. This is supposedly an adaptation of Super Raft Boat, which is a laughably poor pixelcrap twin stick shooter with the same premise. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on.
