About Tales of the Deck

Tales of the Deck is a single player adventure card game styled after the RPGs from gaming's past. Build your own deck, encounter retro monsters, and tell your tale.

Features

  • Build your starting deck: Before your adventure begins, a deck will need to be created. Rather than being given a deck, you create your own. Your fate is in your hands.
  • Choose Three Heroes: Combine the strengths of three heroes to battle against evil. Choose spells for each of them to build your deck, and strategy.
  • Battle Retro Enemies: Take your heroes against the most retro of monsters. Enemies have their own unique ways of throwing your plans into disarray.
  • Discover Incredible Items: During your journey, and between your battles, you'll discover powerful items that will aid in your quest.
  • Unique Mp Resource System: Each hero has its own Mp, and spells. A hero's spell can give it Mp, or cost Mp. Balance these wisely to get the most out of your party.

Cute game. It was difficult at first but later you'll be able to manage the strategy.

Excelent game! Really like it! My playtime does not reflect how much I actually played of it as my internet was down for the majority of the time I played it. It is an original idea and I recommend you give it a try a lot!

Currently disappointed, more against Steam This game is fully bugged, impossible to play the campaign. Even the tutorial fails at step 3. This game is clearly not finished, it is said to be in early access, but in fact it is dead since 2020. Perhaps are there funest causes to that, don't know, but Steam should just stop selling this game And it's not the first time it happens Buying a game that does not worth is annoying, but buying a game that is not a game, it's clearly a fraud

Tutorial is garbage that doesn't even explain how to play the game. In the fight, allies appeared randomly and I don't know why. Through trial-and-error I figured out how to attack and use cards, but then could not complete the tutorial because my allies would not attack the front line of foes, and I could not End Turn. I had to QTD. This game in it's current state is half-baked at best and is nowhere near ready for release even to EA. Nothing makes sense, nothing is sufficiently explained, and it plays slow AF. I show 2.5 hours of game play, but I only played it twice for a total of maybe 15 minutes. Once when I first bought it, and again a few days ago. I idled in the background for the rest of the time in case the game ever gets cards.

Gameplay is a little flat. Doesn't feel like choices matter.
