Teaching Assistant Life

[h3]A small Korean visual novel about a teaching assistant (MC) and his hot girlfriend. After weighing the pros and cons, I think I can give this game a Recommend rating.[/h3] [b]Pros[/b] [olist] [*]Full voice acting (Korean). [*]Nicely drawn CGs. [*]User-friendly interface. [*]Reasonable price. [/olist] [b]Cons[/b] [olist] [*]Probably the biggest downside for me: the HCGs are heavily censored. Beyond the sample shown on the store page, many are covered by holy lights (both top and bottom), which is a huge letdown. Some are also censored by awkward camera perspectives. [*]Even aside from censorship, the scenes’ build-up is solid, but the climaxes feel like the artist pulled their punches, leaving them less satisfying than they should be. [*]The game is quite short—I read every line of dialogue and still finished in about 2 hours. [*]Some bugs I encountered: [/olist][list] [*]The “previous dialogue” function displays Korean instead of English. [*]The bad ending leads to a white screen (though you can work around it with ESC to return to the title). [*]Despite playing for more than two hours, Steam didn’t register the 2+ hour achievement. A sweet, relatively short (3-4 hrs to unlock everything) visual novel with a cute korean manhwa artstyle. The emotions of the female lead are vivid and enticing no matter the story path you follow. There are a lot of option on how to proceed through the story, with endings of [spoiler]true love, bittersweet love or decadence[/spoiler]. The story itself is interesting and deep enough to immerse yourself into. As a visual novel, it is very feature complete, allowing you to return to specific decisions to retrace into a different story path. Paths themselves are marked such that you can eventually figure out what you haven't seen yet. H-scenes are rather heavily censored [spoiler]specifically around the genitals[/spoiler], but can still be enjoyed thanks to the artstyle and story. However, I'd rather think of this as a story-first game with added H-content. Also, as this is a visual novel, there were no issues with performance. 10/10 [spoiler]would goon to uncen, but the law is the law.[/spoiler]
