Terminal 81R is an indie game that combines simulation, adventure, mystery, and psychological horror, with a retro visual aesthetic designed to evoke the characteristic graphics of the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, and GameCube era. Set in the year 2016, the story takes place in a fictional neighborhood in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, and is presented as an indirect sequel to Terminal 81, released in 2023.In 2016, Eduardo 'Edi' Ventura, a young Uruguayan, embarks on a journey to the fictional neighborhood of Terminal 81 in Brazil, hoping to find his sister, who ran away from home years ago to escape their abusive grandfather. Upon arrival, Edi discovers a vibrant, exotic, and lively neighborhood that, beneath its lively surface, hides dark and disturbing secrets.
As the days go by, Edi begins to see through the deceptive facade of Terminal 81. What initially seems like a vibrant neighborhood is revealed to be a grim place marked by insecurity, social inequality, violence, and vice. In this hostile environment, a dangerous criminal organization dedicated to human trafficking operates, abducting and exploiting young women. Edi must follow the clues about this group to uncover the truth and reunite with his missing sister. Step into Terminal 81, connect with its unique characters, follow the dictates of your moral compass, make crucial decisions, and uncover a unique ending shaped by your actions.

I really have mixed feelings about this one. In one hand, it is not a bad game. But on the other hand, I felt that this game was longer than it should have been. The game has some new minigames here and there, but most of them don't add that much to say that it is a "better" game than the original 'Terminal 81.' In fact, I think that this is even inferior in some aspects, because it ends up feeling more monotonous and repetitive than the first one. The driving mechanics are not very good, and I ALWAYS preferred to walk than to ride the bike. I also felt that wasting so much time talking to every random character walking on the street wasn't necessary either; most of the conversations are uninteresting and shallow anyway. __________________________________________________________ UPDATE: I just finished the game (I got one of the bad endings). I must say that the last part where you are stuck in the abandoned building with the two flashlight guys was fun but also frustrating. That being said, this game has some really nice moments, and the story actually got more interesting by the end. If, like me, you were really pleasantly surprised by Terminal 81's gritty atmosphere and immersive activities, you absolutely must play this sequel. It has plenty of references to the previous game, without being inaccessible to new players: it goes even harder with its mini-games and activities, letting you take on several jobs like bartending, car washing, and even leading a Dance Therapy class in between solving its overarching mystery; and its story doesn't resort to any cliched rehashes of the first game. You even get a motorbike to speed travel up! With an awesome soundtrack, tense but involved threat sequences, hilarious side quests (filming two streamers in a haunted hotel deserves a special shoutout - the live feed comments were brilliant), and a much deeper, more immersive and grown-up T81 to explore, it really is David Pateti's magnum opus (in my humble opinion). It has a few snagging points, but I don't think I know any dev as proactive at patching as David Pateti, so don't let that put you off. If you like dark, immersive horror sims, this (and its predecessor) are for you.
Really good sequel, it’s not as good as the first but trust me it’s still a must play if you enjoyed terminal 81. Only issues I’ve had with the game was driving the bike with a controller was hell and some moments of the game were so quiet it felt like there should’ve been some ambient sounds in some parts of the game or music.
this is a pretty cool game, not perfect. but i beat terminal 81 and this is a nice followup. where you're the main characters younger brother, who goes to terminal 81 looking to reunite with her. if you enjoyed the 1st game id highly recommend this one.
