About Runway 66

Decipher the Simulation of the Mind

Runway: 66 is a psychological horror and sci-fi investigation experience where reality itself is the primary suspect. You play as Gabriel, designated Subject 66 a man declared dead after a catastrophic plane crash, only to awaken inside a classified, government-backed simulation. Something has gone wrong. The world glitches. Memories contradict themselves. And a protocol known only as “Protocol 66” is actively reshaping your consciousness. You are not merely trapped.
You are being studied. To escape, you must become the investigator of your own fractured mind uncovering who built the simulation, why your memories were altered, and what happens when a human subject begins to remember too much.

Key Investigative Features

🔍 Evidence Gathering in a Fractured Reality
Explore seven distinct, atmospheric chapters from abandoned airport terminals to hidden military installations buried beneath layers of false reality. Collect classified documents, environmental clues, and experimental records that expose a government conspiracy and genetic experiments tied directly to the Malevolent Madness universe.🧩 Cognitive Deduction & Simulation Puzzles
The simulation is imperfect and those imperfections are your greatest weapon. Identify logical inconsistencies, environmental glitches, and temporal loops to solve puzzles rooted in psychological trauma and corrupted system architecture. Progress requires actively connecting the dots between memory fragments and the world’s distorted logic.📓 Fragmented Memory Analysis
Found notes, distorted recordings, and whispered voices act as your internal case file. Every shifting hallway and whispered name is a clue. Analyze the recurring presence of “Maryam” to understand her patterns and her unsettling connection to your identity.👁️ Surveillance & Strategic Stealth
A dynamic AI entity observes, adapts, and manipulates the simulation around you. There is no direct confrontation. Survival depends on understanding the system’s rules, tracking behavioral patterns, and exploiting technical flaws through stealth and environmental awareness.🎭 Decision-Driven Deductions
Your choices are not moral they are diagnostic. Each decision permanently alters Gabriel’s mental state and the simulation’s response, leading to multiple investigative conclusions:
Awakening, Truth, or Eternal Surrender.

The Truth Is Hidden in Terminal 66

Terminal 66 exists for one reason:
You chose to forget. Will you uncover the evidence needed to remember who you really are
or will you remain forever cataloged as Subject 66 in a classified experiment that never ends?

The game delivers a tense and immersive horror experience that keeps you on edge from start to finish. The atmosphere is thick with dread, using sound design and lighting to build constant unease rather than relying on cheap jump scares. Every step feels deliberate, and the environment does an excellent job of making you feel isolated and vulnerable.

A little context about myself, I am a Vtuber who's main niche is horror games, and I can tell by the way the Devs write about their games that they have great passion for the horror Genre. This by no means is a triple A polished game, but playing games from this studio has really caused me to fall in love with indie games. I was normally a type of person that only liked triple A game titles that had a lot of money and huge teams that made the game. But I have really been enjoying this studios games, and each one they make gets better and better. The game is like 5 bucks and made by a small crew, considering that the game is pretty darn good. This studio really has a passion for horror games and I can tell it with each game they make. The game was a small couple hour adventure that was straight forward and fun. Also if you like clown with big boobs well boy there is a surprise for you in this game.

Runway 66 is a 54-minute experience that feels far longer than it should and not in a good way. What’s meant to be a short horror title ends up being boring, uneventful, and forgettable, offering nothing new to the horror game universe. The game fails to build tension, atmosphere, or meaningful scares. There’s no innovation, no memorable mechanics, and no moments that justify its place among modern horror titles. Instead of dread or suspense, it delivers repetition and emptiness, leaving the player disengaged well before the end. This is one of those games that feels more like a rough prototype than a finished horror experience. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (12-Core Processor) GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT RAM: 64 GB OS: Windows 11

UPDATED by 12/27/2025: So, I downloaded it again and installed it. I checked it out. The new menu is great, but sometimes there are problems with loading saves. A slight improvement in the visual. They added a little there, the lighting was redone a little here, in principle it is normal. Visual effects scripts don't always work. In the airport location, after loading the save, the script of the attacking character did not load. It's the same in the sewer location. So, I'll leave you a positive assessment, if only because at least something is being done. But overall, the project is not the most successful. But for the sake of experience, let it be. UPDATED by 12/26/2025: Okay, since the developers still haven't abandoned the project, and they're giving people feedback, and they've also done some optimization work, I'm changing my assessment to positive. I hope that the conclusions have been drawn, and in the future the studio will begin to please us with more thoughtful and prepared end products. And yes, the complaint was not that you use ready-made assets, but that there was little interaction with them from the stated. At your leisure, there will be time and desire, add a more…
