GOOD

Non-Steam Version Actually Works This is the only redeeming quality: the *non-Steam* release reportedly plays far better—too bad that's not the version being sold here.

BAD

Broken Steam Build The Steam version is a technical disaster. It’s broken on so many levels, and every negative review you read is absolutely spot-on.
Controller Support Is a Joke Controller support is fundamentally busted, with zero fixes available. Expect endless frustration and completely unreliable input.
Achievements Don’t Work Achievements trigger at random—when they feel like it. Progress tracking is utterly unreliable and inconsistently broken.

Final Thought
Don’t waste your money. The Steam version of The AssKickers is a hot mess, riddled with bugs and poorly implemented features. Want to actually play the game? Look elsewhere—this release is a perfect example of how not to handle a PC port.1 found this helpful
very charming. if it weren't for the broken achievements I would defend the game a bit more but I will say what I liked about it. lots of deliberate choices that are intriguing. the character movement has a unique motion or friction to it where when you let off the controls you still slide in whatever direction for a moment, turning around has a very deliberate delay involved. when you jump and attack you get an unprecedented amount of air control and can hit people with large opposite sections of your attack hit box. while the brawling is mostly bad there were some good flinchy moments where I would grab a guy stunning him, instantly cancel the grab, back kick a guy to death, regrab the same guy i grabbed before refreshing the stun, jump in the air, wiggle back and forth 3 times moving my attack hitbox around and grabbing what i can including probably the guy who is still thinking about how i grabbed him twice. the first level was kind of a meh primer not really a big draw but the second level from the beginning was very strong, I really like the guard enemy type with the shield, hitting his shield sees it recoiling back with each hit you give it to emphasize you aren't really doi…
Terrible controls
one day this will be removed from steam, and the key will be worth a few hundred so buy em now
I received this game as part of a bundle. This game is ok for what it is, but overall it's poorly designed. Would not recommend. Achievements don't work either.
