About APE OUT
Smash through procedurally generated levels as an escaped ape, using enemies as weapons and shields while grooving to a dynamic jazz soundtrack in this vibrant, rhythm-driven action game. Every collision, throw, and impact syncs with the music to create a frenetic dance of primal violence and stylish chaos.
Stylish Escape: Embrace bold colors and a dazzling perspective as you rush through tight corridors, open areas, and twisting labyrinths on a mad dash for freedom. Overcome all manner of human opposition, nefarious traps, and breakable obstacles to find each exit and escape captivity.
Grab and Smash: Unleash your primal instincts and incredible strength to overpower your captors. Hold them steady to create a human shield, smash their feeble bodies into walls, or throw one into another in a violent explosion of humanity.
Dynamic Soundtrack: Find your rhythm in the chaos as a dynamic soundtrack of drums, cymbals, and decapitations drive the action to the edge of mayhem.

Imagine hotline miami but you're an ape and make it jazz. Some of the best sound design in a game ever.1 found this helpful
This game is a certified banger. I'll eventually beat it on Hard difficulty and try out the "Arcade" mode, but as of writing this I've only beaten the game once through on normal difficulty. It's a pretty short game, I don't know why I didn't complete the entire thing the first time I played it back in 2019, for some reason I stopped after disk 3. I gave it another go tonight and I couldn't put it down until I beat it (plus the bonus level after the epilogue). I'd recommend this game for anyone who loved playing old flash games on the internet growing up. It feels very much like that kind of game, but with a higher level of polish and an awesome drum soundtrack to go along with it. It's definitely worth the $15.00 in my opinion. You might not get too many hours out of the game if you don't plan to play through it twice on the harder difficulty, but it's absolutely worth playing through at least once.
