Not as good as the first one with how plain the story is, but the addition of new weapons and wave based survival makes it up i guess It plays just like the prequel but with less bugs and better balance
Over all a pretty good improvement from the first game; more weapons, different enemies, the counter skill is pretty neat, the grafic design seems a bit better too and also the survival mode is kinda interesting. My complaint is that, in this game they added female characters that you can play as, the thing is; there are less female characters than male characters but above all THE ONLY level that you can actually use the female characters is (besides survival) level 6, why not make it so you can choose them in any level of the story mode?
real solid game, good boss fights, plays smoother than shank 1 and that said, there is bug where dodging stopped responding in the middle of boss fights, i brute forced it by spam jumping, but on the final boss final is was near impossible without dodging, and had to switch to mouse and keyboard to finish the game apart from the bug which made me almost smash my controller, i had fun, 7 out of 10 chainsaws
High gameplay difficulty, easy-to-earn achievements, collectibles that are quite simple to find, unlockable characters tied to in-game achievements, detailed cutscenes, and checkpoints in certain areas (on Hard mode, they are spaced further apart, so if you lose, you have to restart from the previous one—sometimes even from the beginning of the level). My recommendation is not to start on Hard mode; instead, get familiar with the game on Normal mode first so you don't struggle as much on Hard. Excellent game.
