the Za got me thinking about tragedies that havent even happened yet .. March 3rd 2024 .. damn... .
This is not a great game, but I had fun nonetheless. Except for 1 maybe 2 jump scares, this is not a scary game. In fact, I found it to be unintentionally funny at times. The insta-kill enemies are annoying but relatively easy to avoid. My biggest issue is how short it is. I was having enough fun that I wish it lasted a little longer than its roughly 1h15m runtime. Some people might think that's too short for the price. But I had fun with it.
I played this game knowing it is an indie game. I can easily say that totally worth to play. Quick storytelling, interesting mechanics and enjoyable scares :D. Sound effects in this game should be studied by other horror game makers.
Started playing without expecting a lot and it still delivered. While it definitely has some rough edges, i think the game is still a solid choice for anyone who is interested in retro-esque, atmospheric horror games. There were many moments in the game that got me jumping in my chair however, it needs noting that some attempts at inducing fear might feel rather underwhelming. Honestly, it is full of good, okay-ish and borderline pointless jumpscares. As for the plot, it is refreshingly unique as it captured my interest right off the bat. The sprawling complex once teeming with life suddenly devolves into total mayhem and horror as its residents find themselves in inexplicably horrifying circumstances and we, the players are determined to uncover the deepest secrets of the place and everything that led to this tragedy. Interacting with the papers, terminals and computers that you will come across throughout The Complex is essential to get a grasp of the story and i totally recommend paying attention to your surroundings as you are progressing. Those will help tremendously to understand what is actually happening within The Complex. Overall i would definitely recommend this game…
