The Demon Lord is New in Town!

Even though this game is 95% reading and 5% interesting but insignificant 'gameplay', I admire the sheer amount of prettily drawn art for each character. I wasn't going to recommend this but I cannot deny my love of inflation--the good kind.

The Demon Lord is New in Town! is a fantasy role-playing adventure developed by Daijyobi Institute and published by Kagura Games. Rather than beginning with a powerful ruler poised to conquer kingdoms, the story takes a more unusual direction by introducing Van, a defeated demon lord who has lost the vast majority of his powers and is forced into exile. Accompanied by his devoted companion Aira, he must start over in the human world, learning how to survive while searching for a way to reclaim the strength that was taken from him. This reversal of expectations gives the narrative an engaging foundation, transforming what could have been another conventional fantasy tale into a journey centered on rebuilding, self-improvement, and adapting to an unfamiliar life. Instead of relying primarily on combat, the game places considerable emphasis on resource management and character progression. Players spend much of their time gathering materials, completing assignments, managing daily activities, and steadily improving Van's abilities through experience and careful planning. Very Like This Game

Great art, great translation, decent story, all tacked on top of an inoffensive gameplay system. Let's face it, this game is little more than clicking a couple things and then advancing a day. As easy erotic games go, this is definitely one of the easiest, but it also saves a lot of time, and without making the entire experience disjointed. It's literally just enough gameplay to justify this being a "game". Compared to their previous magical girl themed game, which had gameplay that really surprised me(kinda like streets of rage), it's a downgrade, but this is still really high quality stuff out of Kagura Games.
