About The Devil's Typist
The Devil's Typist
This keyboard game utilizes most of the keys on the keyboard to eliminate letters that appear on the screen. When the player's "health" is depleted, it automatically drops down a level, and reaching the "score" goal results in advancing a level. The game doesn't have a definitive end and can continue endlessly, but the difficulty increases over time. The game is played by using keyboard keys to hit objects on the screen, earning points. When the score reaches a certain value, the player will level up to the next stage. Higher levels mean faster speed and more objects. As the levels increase, various different power-ups and items will appear. The game continues indefinitely, with unlimited levels.

✦ AI summary
The Devil's Typist is a bare-bones typing game where players tap keys to eliminate letters floating up the screen, but it suffers from poor game design that makes it neither fun nor effective for learning typing skills. The technical implementation matches the weak design philosophy, with the overall package feeling more like an unfinished tech demo or student project than a complete product, offering minimal scope, ambition, or real value to players.
Lucky me gets to write the first English review for The Devil's Typist, which is a barebones/tech demo tier "typing" game where you see low poly letters float up the screen and you must tap the corresponding key on your keyboard to eliminate them before they hit the top. This isn't really going to teach much in the way of typing, and it's about as far as you could get from "fun" in a game, so there's no value to this for anyone. But, the poor game design is matched with an equally poor technical implementation, so at least there is symmetry. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted desig…9 found this helpful
The optimization is nonexistent. The game regularly spawns 'D-A' symbols that cannot be dealt in any way and will reset your progress if not dealt with. No settings menu.
