I love Retro-RPG's. No wonder I started playing with ASCII symbols on my PC (without graphic card..monochrome monitor). But there are some things I don't miss from those early games and that is a world map. I simply no longer have the patience and time to travel back and forth without a plan to finally find my destination (and heaven forbid there are several cities and dungeons and you pause the game for a while). Otherwise, everything is standard here: simple dungeons, enemies that are just about manageable, and a constant hunger for money to buy items and equipment. Oh, and an almost open world...which punishes you if you enter a dungeon that you are not ready for. I have now invested 2 hours of playing time in this game (offline) and now it's over for me5 found this helpful
Eh... its alright as far as rpg maker games goes. It's just a simple story with a few key locations to go to. I have 6 hours but you can likely finish it a little sooner then that since i went exploring around immediately when i had access to the ship, and over explored as i kept wondering if there was more to find. Location-wise there really is just the initial castle and a random town selling upgraded gear, the shops in those locations also baits you a bit thinking that you'll get more party members since there is heavy armour that you can buy but no one that can equip it. The rest of the locations are dungeons or dungeon-like. There are some areas where you think might be a secret with 1 tile that looks off from the ones around it, but no, no secrets here sadly, everything you can access is shown as is. As for how dungeon's go... eh. there is a few floors in some of them, but you'll always encounter a giant room with a generated maze filled with enemies and chests spotted around. There is a bit of a pattern when it comes to chest colors and their contents but it sometimes breaks off at random. Like some red chests will often have gold but will sometimes have general items…2 found this helpful

Got softlocked in the castle after an hour of play and got no dev or community help to fix it. I'm not the only person to get stuck here either. Doesn't matter that the game feels good to play and has pretty fun character design if you can't play it.
Fun retro JRPG, the story was also pretty old school with no real twists or surprises. Yet I found myself getting through the mazes (which honestly felt a bit grindy) to find out what happened next in the story. Also, no random encounters, although, for me, I enjoy being over leveled before boss battles. I felt the battles and story could have been expanded on for something a little more unique. Overall, 8/10, good game dev!
I liked this one....it felt kind of special....loved the graphics.. like a retro throwback with nostalgia....recommended,
