Exploration is as important as combat.
Observe, listen, think, communicate, act, you need to use all possible skills to find your own path. Adventures are not only full of choices, but often require a bit of luck.
Classic turn-based + meaningful choices.
Every action you take is meaningful, including knocking down enemies and using skills that will enhance your talents and allow you to learn new skills faster.
Free progression system.
There are more than twenty classes with different mechanisms in the game, and the classescan co-exist. You can mix and match skills and traits to create unexpected chemical reactions.
Abundant skill customization.
Sparks of inspiration can be obtained while fighting, exploring, cooking, even dreaming. Infuse the spark into a skill and eventually make it your own, creating a unique skill and renaming it.
Rich craft system.
You can simple raw materials to build anything you want. Whether it's a precious potion, a great invention, legendary equipment or overnight leftovers.
Real choices and multiple endings.
Choices are very important in the game, some may have less impact and some may change the entire story.Optional challenges to face.
The game is full of overpowered enemies who don't care if you're still a newbie, they only care about one thing - crushing you. But you can always find a way to evade or defeat them.

Well-designed characters.
Each character has a past behind him or her that he or she doesn't want to talk about, and you can learn about their past, get close to them or break with them in the game.Respect your time.
No random battle, no forced grinding, no endless maze, all ending available in the first run. What Steam players say

The game pretends that it will get good - it won't. The UI and controls are abhorrent. The story - first few hours are meh and uninspiring - boring. This is one of the games where you can't just read what things are actually doing. Because there are no tooltips - or maybe - the tooltips are below the screen bottom, because they are bugged. I tried both on windows and linux. It pretends to be old school while isn't. Old school games had rules inside them, this game is so BAD, you have to look for a guide online because otherwise you will be second guessing what "potential" or "rest limits" mean. Because the game doesn't deem to explain its mechanics to you, because screw you that's why. It doesn't have simple QOL things like IDK, a journal, an accessible log of dialogues, so if you forget something mentioned once - good luck.2 found this helpful
I ruined my sleep schedule for this game... and it was worth it. Play this 中国 game, it's a hidden gem for the western audience.
Gameplay is decent, but can't recommend in current state due to bugs. If dev fixes bugs, I will change review. UI is full of bugs. Crafting is completely unusable. I can't get out of Smithing menu without restarting the game, so this is a soft lock on the game. Also, Alchemy doesn't work either, it makes a constant rapid clicking sound and I can't select any ingredients. Cooking seems to be the only thing that works.
This game plays a lot like classic "adventure book" games of the 80s such as Fighting Fantasy, but with a JRPG twist. You explore nodes on beautifully illustrated flat maps, make choices, roll skill checks, and fight battles. It's challenging, but ultimately you can overcome anything with a little grind. Its layered systems, sparks and abilities and classes and traits and crafting, make you feel clever and powerful when you figure them out and begin creating unique builds. The game is sort of like a knot to untangle, at first, but it feels rewarding to do so. The writing and characters are the weak point here, but there is a certain childish charm to them all the same. Recommended to any fans of JRPGs or dungeon crawlers who want to try something different!
Hidden gem of crpg jrpg :) really enjoyed it, can be quite challenging
