The Fall: Act I

Enjoyable story. Abu is my favourite!

amazing art, amazing pixel art, the aesthetic is really on point, the poems are beautiful, and both the narration and the dialogue are really well written! this game had me both at the edge of my seat and with my face inches away from the screen (and then before i knew it, cowering away after an unexpected jumpscare) while this is a great game, the lack of a saving system makes it a little troublesome to get all endings and youre forced to start over every time. also, if you accidentally miss the dialogue stating what the task is going to be before making an important choice, there's no way of going back to see what the task is. when you start over, there's no way of skipping dialogue (you have to do it manually). there are a few typos here and there. the dr. knight storyline doesn't really pan out anywhere... there's a bug where you get two august sprites running at each other in the room after the vernae incident. but in any case, i'll be playing again to get the other endings. i hope to see more of these characters!
