The Fate of Baldr is praised for its fun co-op experience, charming viking aesthetic with humorous characters, and accessible gameplay that's easy for friends to jump into together. However, players note that the game relies more on style than mechanical depth, with bullet-spongy enemies and some difficulty balance issues, while a few mention frustrations with unclear mechanics like ammunition management.
Rather simple gameplay wise, but with a really cool viking aesthetic. It's pretty decent, but it's definitley one of those games that in my opinion is carried by its art and style more than its actual mechanics. The premise is quite simple and the game doesn't feel bad to play by any means, but the difficulty can feel a little forced, with rather bullet spongey enemies. On the whole I played this with a friend and really did quite enjoy it, it's just a little, meh... if that makes sense. Still a good game though, definitely worth checking out if it looks like your cup of tea.1 found this helpful
I ran out of ammo and no idea how to reload / get more ammo and I just don't have the patience to even post on the forums.1 found this helpful
Simple but fun game. The good: I like how the aesthetics and story try to stick to the myth as much as possible. I also like that you have different types of warriors and each has unique towers and powers. The bad: It is character-heavy, meaning, you will carry most of the fight instead of relying on your towers. • Limited tower spots. There are too few; there should be more, or at least make the towers a bit more powerful. I prefer the Orcs Must Die approach, where the towers do the heavy lifting. • It can be repetitive, especially if you are trying to use all characters, and you have to do the same missions again. Overall, it's fun, cheap, and you can play with up to three friends (< this is the way to play it).
Devs never change ragdolling please 8.8/10
Very cool idea. Looking forward to updates with more upgrades and maps.
Great little game, and worth the price for what it is - love the character design, classes and specialised towers.
