About The Fidelio Incident
In 2014, God of War 3 Art Director Ken Feldman was inspired to start a side project that turned into a narrative thriller video game. With help from talented friends Brandon Popovich and Christopher Davis, this is the game we created. We took no money, created Act 3 Games as our indie video game company and are self publishing on Steam. We are very proud of the accomplishment and hope you enjoy the ride.
The Fidelio Incident is a single-player, first-person thriller set off the coast of Iceland. After a violent plane crash, Stanley must search a desolate frozen island in search of his wife Leonore while covering up any traces of their bloody Irish past. Rescue help is on the way, the past must remain hidden. "They can't find out who we are!"
Inspirations include Dear Esther, Gone Home and Firewatch as well as dark character dramas like Homeland, Lost, and The Americans.
The Fidelio Incident was also inspired by Beethoven's only opera, Fidelio. We use the opera's premise as inspiration for the backstory, then re-imagined it for a modern setting.
Michael Krikorian's score composes over 40 minutes of original music. He incorporates themes from Fidelio's overture and transforms them to fit the mood and atmosphere of the game. The score expands the emotional depth of the narrative while complementing the atmosphere of the island.
Stanley is played by Glenn Keogh, known for his roles in Transformers Age of Extinction, Once Upon A Time, and Sons of Anarchy. Glenn was born in Ireland. After reading the script, he signed on with the goal of bringing authenticity to Stanley's character. We think he did a great job, and hope you agree!
Leonore is played by Bess Harrison, whose credits include The Temple and Memory, for Amazon Studios. Bess is described by Glenn as having a sweetheart voice you can't help but fall in love with.

[h2]What the Fidelio is this![/h2] At first I was intrigued... Then I realized I was bored. The story's pacing is just too slow. For a walking simulator, pacing is everything because there isn't much else to keep you engaged. The graphics aren't bad, but they aren't great either. The voice acting is good in some places and mediocre in others. I ended up grueling through this a couple of times for the achievements, and it wasn't a fun experience. Games like this are the reason I don't achievement hunt nearly as much as I used to. These days, I only go for the achievements if the game is actually worth playing. not bad, not bad. for what it is a point and click adenture, zero pew pew and it does not need it. story is typical irish miserable but again not bad. buy on special. :)1 found this helpful
Incredible story, voice acting and visuals. Give it time when you play it.
This a really good walking simulator and it pulled me in right from the start. The story is told through manuscript pages scattered across the map and finding them weren't a total pain. I really have to talk about the cutscenes cuz the shots looked like they were lifted off a high budget movie. Give it a shot if you're into games with good graphics and story.
The game looks almost identical to the store page screenshots, which I found to be a pleasant surprise, and the soundtrack also complements the themes and visuals quite well. It contains a fairly compelling story which loosly adapts that of Romeo and Juliet (Or perhaps more aptly Thelma and Louise) in which the mysterious backstory of our two protagonists reveals itself in a non-linear fashion. That said, it's a very short game, and one which doesn't really make any attempt to stand out within the genre. It has some very minor technical difficulties, and I personally found the ending to be quite abrupt and underwhelming. If you're into walking sims, it might be the game for you, but don't go in expecting a groundbreaking experience.
