Not a Puzzle Game The "puzzles" are not actual puzzles. The game loop is "you" redirecting electrical charges from one unit to another. Level design makes the experience even worse. Not only are the "puzzles" nonexistent, but solving them is tedious because of the level design. You will be exploring boring empty rooms looking for these charges, and that's the puzzle experience summarized. Sometimes "you" have to do simple jump-performed platforming, but jumping feels unresponsive and makes for an unfortunate gameplay mechanic. But the worst game mechanic is the one involving "you" looking for three pieces of coral-deformed objects. The only challenge comes from trying to painfully locate these objects, and considering that the map is badly designed makes this tiresome. The only entertaining part of locating coral comes from the way the voice actor says "Human growth." Besides the game not being particularly enjoyable, there are some good elements to it. There is a solid art direction to the game, using Cycladic architecture is something I haven't seen a game do before, and I like the way it was used. I also liked the first encounter with the coral enemy, which was well presente…3 found this helpful
This is an exploration game set in a research facility that is overrun by plant growth. It definitely lacks polish, but is also worth spending a few dollars and a few hours on.2 found this helpful
It's a plateformer similar to portal. It's really great. The graphics are nice. Don't pay attention to the banner of the game. Look at the screenshots.1 found this helpful
It's just fine. Graphics are alright, music is nice. The voice acting is also fine. Puzzles weren't that hard, and the story was simple to grasp. For the bad, controls were a bit floaty, and the hitboxes of a lot of stuff was iffy when trying to traverse and move around. I think worst part are the enemies, either they're a non issue, or you just keep getting caught because the moment you're anywhere close, even through walls or sometimes a bit random to be honest, you just get immediately stuck in place, no chance for trying to escape or anything, you just get stuck in place, take a few hits and wait until the plant finally kills you so you can try again, which it honestly takes a bit too long sometimes. Bugs I found include, clicking chapters in main menu doing nothing, going back to places that gave you a clue/tutorial makes those pop up again, and achievements take a while to pop after doing the requirement. Overall, a short puzzle game that's not too hard, with a simple story that's easy to grasp. Watch out when trying to move though. It's all just 'fine'.
8/10 Good amount of content for the price, five chapters all together. Other games I've played at this price you usually only get 30 minutes of playtime, but not this game. I was interested in this one for the possible horror content, but there is not really any scary scenes. It starts out slow, but once you get past the first chapter it gets better. Feels mostly like a puzzle game, where you move electricity around to unlock doors and scan mutated plants to unlock memories to piece together what happened on the island. I do like that it is not a stressful game and is very forgiving if you fall to your death, or get caught by the mutated plant. The graphics look really nice and clear. Ambient noises work really well with the game. I think it's worth the price.
What a fun little game, very cheap
