✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's stylish visuals and atmospheric sound design, but criticize nearly every gameplay element: sluggish movement animations, excessive backtracking, clunky controls, and simplistic puzzles that make the experience feel tedious rather than engaging. The psychological narrative, while ambitious, comes across as contrived and unnatural, with the overall package feeling more like an art project than a playable game, leaving most players frustrated rather than entertained.

So, this is yet another gloomy indie game about psychological disorders. There's little to say about this one. In its own genre it's probably OK. The visuals are stylish and the sound design is quite awesome. But the story doesn't really catch your attention. The monologues and occasional dialogues are quite unnatural. And the gameplay part just plainly sucks. You walk slowly, you need to backtrack the levels all the time, it's surprisingly hard to find a proper spot to start climbing a ladder. So, all in all, as a game this thing kind of fails. Some people will like it, I'm sure. But personally I'm not a fan.

All mood, no meat. A very middling puzzle/adventure game, with bare-bones puzzles. Wander around, slowly, and do the thing the game tells you to. The maps are annoying and require much back-tracking, and just the movement animation, such as climbing up a small obstacle, happens so frequently and is so slow, that the game is nigh intolerable. Fully intolerable, if you have anything else to do.

This is a 2D adventure/platformer art piece masquerading as a video game. The story is grim and focused on uncomfortable psychological disorders, resulting in a dark and unpleasant "art-not-game" experience. Usually these games are extremely lazy in terms of implementation but here I'm at least happy to say that while the pen scribble textures look lazy, they do provide a decent visual experience. The game does display in 4K, although the controls are fixed, so this won't be playable for people with international keyboards. Fixed controls do disqualify this for a recommendation for that reason. But the technical implementation is not really the problem here. The problem is that Steam is for video games, for fun, not for "art" pretending to be a game. This certainly isn't fun to play, it's dark, unsettling and confronting, so how could I suggest that gamers should buy this to have fun playing it? I think this game illustrates the point that the artists should stick to doing the art for the games, not take over the whole show.

This game is so boring, I became an alcoholic and heroin addict; all in just 2 hours... GOD ALMIGHTY, is this one senseless, boring mess! I seem to have nerves of steel to get through this sorry excuse of a "game". Just stay away, no need to even thank me! Oh, on a side note: if you wanna quit the game it stops responding... so really the only way is to rage-quit. How fitting!
