If you're *trying* to accomplish something without dying, e.g. the actual ending, the gameplay is horrendous, takes 30 minutes per mistake, and is just a walking simulator with very little visuals. HOWEVER, the entire rest of the game is near flawless. The way the game immerses you, massively through it's sound/music design, is stunning. The occasional blurry visual makes those scenes feel so eerily important, and everything has such a deep psychological dread feel to it. I have to love it. You have to be very patient to accomplish anything without a guide or map (as you have to draw your own and learn from your own mistakes), but it is an incredible "auditory nightmare", as zeekerss put it.

really really good game takes a very long time to begin understanding the bizarre puzzles and rules, makes you feel lost and confused in a very fun way. hard game doesn't tell you ♥♥♥♥ and nobody has documented the game extensively. super special game to me really makes you think, insane that this is free
