You wake up in a strange house. Where are you? Can you solve the mystery of..... the Haunted House of Doom? This is a classic style point and click interactive adventure story in the horror genre. Explore the house, find the secret tunnels and solve the adventure. Along the way you have to collect items to help you along the way. Not all is as it seems as the house is filled with all kinds of beings such as ghosts, trolls and dragons... but why?
Solve the mystery at your own pace. But beware... take a wrong step and you may come to an untimely end!
The story so far...
"As you awaken, you curse the day the Daily Record hired you to find a scoop on the so-called Haunted Mansion.
It appears that your job as private investigator has taken you too close to the truth about the strange goings at this place.
The last thing you remember was being hit over the head. Now you find yourself in what appears to be the laundry room.
Perhaps they thought they'd killed you because you weren't tied up. Just left there in a heap on the cold tiles.
Now you must try to escape while you still can..."

for a $2 game, i am both shocked and appalled by the quality, this game was unreasonably hard for no reward, the game looked like i drew it with my left hand in kindergarten (im right handed) and the solutions to the puzzles made absolutely no sense. this game took 0.9 hours off my life that i will never get back. i could've been out, curing diseases, but NO. i was playing the haunted house of doom, wasting my life away. my wife left me because of this. i hope you're happy.3 found this helpful

Lots of fun with friends While this is definitely not my favourite Steam game and gets boring pretty quick, this can be loads of fun with friends with it's many bugs, glitches and easter eggs. You can wear different hats such as a top hat, baseball cap and a dildo hat! The game runs a little slowly on my computer, but doesn't affect the game experience too much. If more features and gamemodes were added to this game, that would be great!1 found this helpful
Alright look, I'll admit that I hyped this game up for myself too much of the bit and got disappointed. But how can I resist buying a 2$ game that looks like this. A handful of steps you have to take are really dumb. Many times when I got stumped I would try to 'Look at' things for clues only to be met with a real eye-roller when I actually could really use a clue. Let's be real though: if you're like me you're gonna get this game anyway because just look at it. [spoiler]I decompiled the game to try and figure out what the TV was saying. I think it saying "Don't go into the towers"[/spoiler] 5/10
