About The Journalist

Equipped with 35mm film camera, a journalist embarks on a journey into a neighborhood of Seoul that is slated to be redeveloped. In the process of capturing the vanishing venues of the city, the journalist discovers the big world full of stories.

The Journalist is a photography action adventure filled with unique challenges. Sometimes, you have to take pictures of only one person in a crowded marketplace. Sometimes, you have to take picture of a car that interrupts you by pointing spotlight.

You can only take twelve pictures per roll. If you move while the shooting, the shot will be ruined. Also, if the film is overexposed by light, it's not usable. Take a perfect photo that meet these conditions. You will be able to check out the outcome only after developing the roll at the lab.

Features

  • 1+ Hour of playtime.
  • High-octane action without any killing.
  • You can only see the result of pictures at the end of each mission.
  • Cozy music you can listen to. (Composed by Dongbaek)
  • Small, but jam-packed city where you can freely roam.

The Journalist is a nonviolent action game that aims to capture the magic of film photography.

For starters, the game itself is very much simple to learn, the graphics and overall design is charming and adorable, it's inclusive of PC rigs (which means that even if your computer is old and crappy, there's a high chance the game will still run on it smoothly). Third is a bit more on the AI side, NPCs still have some room for improvement as the pathfinding is a bit off, in some instances they just walk into each other and end up stuck in one place while displaying t…

The concept and mechanics is fun. Maybe there can be development into game with more content and game length. The game characters are well made, I wish there was more background objects/environment/skybox the camera can capture. Music is >>> dope. :^)
