What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players acknowledge this is a solo developer project with mixed results: while the game features decent atmospheric elements like fog and ambiance in early sections, it ultimately fails to deliver on its survival horror premise, lacking genuine scares and challenge despite a completable 4-hour story campaign. The game is criticized for relying on cheap jump-scare sound effects and offering minimal difficulty with enemies that don't respawn or pose real threats, though some appreciate the readability of in-game documents and the ability to progress without overwhelming combat encounters.
One must beware of games without reviews, especially games that have been out for almost a year. The Steam store only shows reviews from customers who purchased the game directly through Steam. As such, I believe no one has bought this game from the store. I write this review in good faith, but fear it may never be seen by potential buyers. This may potentially be the worst game I have ever played, and yet I felt compelled to complete the story mode. In fact I also played a substantial amount of the survival mode (horde mode) to unlock all remaining achievements. Before I go any further, it should be noted that this is a one man production, and that it is built with the Unity engine which is rarely impressive when utilised by a single developer. The game is billed as a survival horror. It has elements of the genre but almost every aspect of the game, from menus to mechanics is broken in some way. The game does not pause even when you are accessing your item menu or even the options menu. I know some survival hor…16 found this helpful
After 2 years from the previous bad review of this game I decided to check it out to see if it had gotten any better since the release. Once I got though the cheap scream sound effects from the main menu and started the game, I enjoyed the beginning. The first level had some good fog and ambiance to get me invested for a hopefully fun and creepy game. Unfortunately, the game turned out to not be scary. I played the game to the very end and clocked 4 hours total. It is not the worst I have ever played as was previously reported by another gamer (I've played games a whole lot worse). I would also like to say that it is also easy to read documents and you are never mobbed by a group of zombies. Once you kill anything in the area they don't come back and it's easy to read whatever you want to. I do agree that there are some bugs that need to be fixed such as the inventory bug which I believe caused me to lose a key I tried to pick up because my inventory was already filled up. That was the only bug in the game that was a real show stopper. The best way to get past the inventory issue was to stack your ammo. You could plug as much ammo at once into your gun as you could find …3 found this helpful
