The Prince's Keeper

This was so nice to read through. I really enjoyed the story - the MC was perfect, and Railan's voice was so satisfying to listen to. I really liked that one, the art was very pretty as well! :)

Very short game but gods, i love Railan so much even when he is being a very mean guy towards Mc because Mc gets to call him out everytime. The writing is phenomenal, and the little romance slowburn between Railan and Mc is so sweet. Its not that difficult to get Railan's favors and make him like you, actually i'd say its pretty obvious the choices that will raise the relationship radar. I want to see more of him so badly.

The Prince's Keeper is a partially-voiced dating sim where the any-gender protagonist is hired on as a personal maid for Railan, the difficult and icy prince in the Wildshire Kingdom after her previous position was dissolved upon the death of her lord. I really loved the sprite art in this. The colours and lines were so bold and I loved the art style. I actually appreciated it more than the CG art, which changes the prince's hair-style, skin tone and colour palette and makes him look a lot softer. The voice acting was decent, the lines are really clear and the actor suited the character. He just had a funny way of saying some words and over-enunciates at points. He actually voices a character in Cupid's Chatroom also. I picked up on it instantly haha. The partial voicing usually comes at the start of the game and then throughout at some really key lines. The story itself is well-paced and covers meeting the prince as a stranger to gradually falling in love (if that's what you want) and then a really sweet epilogue no matter your ending. very short game, but i really loved the writing and really REALLY loved railan's characterization. he was called a recluse and i thought 'depression?' then i met him in-game, read the description of his room and thought 'oh yea. depression. 100000%'

It's alright, simpler than I expected (the Prince is very easy to get along with, there's nothing to really fail at, and the choices aren't very subtle) but enjoyable enough. The romantic choices have a heart next to them, so it fails at being a dating sim but it makes it easy to avoid unwanted romance. I kept wishing we'd finally meet the princess, good thing there's the bonus scene! (that I almost missed because I usually start my replays from a save, not from the main menu, and nothing informs you there's a new option hidden there) The writing was good however, including all endings! I'm glad in the freedom ending [spoiler]Railan plans to return and takes notes of what the kingdom needs, he didn't just irresponsibly abandon everything[/spoiler]. My only real, whole-hearted complaint is about the music and art. Both are very nice, but the music often doesn't fit the scene (gloomy piano most of the time) and the art isn't always consistent. The room is The Messiest Place Ever yet the background we see is perfectly clean. The prince on the CGs has skin ten shades lighter than on the sprite (the artstyle is so different I'd never have recognized him anyway, but [i]at least[/i] if …

It is crazy how Railan became one of my favorite otome Li. He is such a multifaceted character, the writing is phenomenal. The romance is developed so well too; I love slowburn. The voice actor also did an amazing job, I swooned a lot
