About The Redundant

Step into the metallic boots of an abandoned robot in The Redundant, an exciting action-adventure with multiple ways to play. Take on the role of CF5, an abandoned robot in a mysterious facility besieged by a virus-infected mechanical army. As you explore the facility, you'll unravel a twisting story while isolating each section from the network, before it's too late.

Go in all-guns-blazing, or opt for a stealthy approach. Will you take the battle to your foes, or stick to the shadows?

With different ways to play, you'll need your wits about you to manage the meager resources at your disposal. Think carefully and plan tactically in order to stay alive.

Enemies each have unique strengths and weaknesses, while a diverse array of environments each present their own obstacles. How will you make it through?

Unpick the mystery of the facility and the virus that has ravaged its robot denizens. Tease apart the story piece-by-piece as you fight for survival.

Action-adventure + Sci-Fi Top-Down Twin Stick Shooter. You need to find out what happened at the secret station and stop the robots infected with the virus. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/fq75sVS_8Vo A nice, dynamic, challenging game. You control a robot. You need to explore the station and destroy enemies. In the upper left corner of the screen there are indicators of health, energy, the number of first aid kits, ammo and collected cells, which can be spent in special terminals to buy ammo and upgrades. I like the cute main character, the plot, beautiful graphics, music and sounds, that there are many different enemies/bosses + there are checkpoints, but I don't like that the gameplay is complicated by restrictions: [olist] [*]To shoot, you need to hold down one mouse button and click the other. [*]The robot dies if it runs out of health or energy. At the same time, energy is spent on running, so you need to run away from enemies or move quickly here wisely. [*]The weapon quickly overheat. [*]The number of bullets is limited and does not regenerate after death. Bullets can be replenished from loot and purchased in terminals. If you die, you are returne…

Game felt like Dark Souls without some of the charm that makes Dark Souls feel beatable. First off, there are two health bars. One is a classic health. Second is a battery that drains over time and when dodging/sprinting. The only source of more battery are drops that come from crates that restore a tiny amount. The ammo in the game is limited, and seems to drop at such a low rate, that running out was a real problem. Especially since the first boss has a shield that blocks ALL of your shots unless it is distracted. The game had arrows indicating where I should go, but after the first boss they disappeared. I spent another 10-15 minutes wandering around lost before I just gave up and uninstalled.

The Redundant Maybe Fun? Absolutely. This game may not reinvent the wheel, but build a very challengeable concept. New mechanics, polished gameplay and an engaging loop make it an easy recommendation for fans of the genre. Maybe hard and you might get some déjà vu moments, but sometimes familiarity is comforting. Whether it’s the smooth controls, the satisfying progression or the surprisingly well-crafted world. This game takes what works and sticks to it and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you're looking for innovation, this might be the game for you.

I REALLY hope this game gets polished. It feels very incomplete. Clunky menus and no real flow to it. It definitely needs more work. I'm going to say I do not recommend this game...for now.

The graphics and controls are fine, but the game laks for hints and support for new players. After a while you will need some hints if you are stuck in the same place for too long.
