THE SCREAM OF DARKNESS

This is a free game, and is apparently the first one by an indie dev. It is described on it's Store Page as "[i]psychological horror[/i]", and "[i]atmospheric storytelling[/i]", but neither description is true. It is only a little suspenseful, but yet is highly annoying. It does contain a couple of jump-scares, one of which I must admit was a good one. It caught me by surprise, even though I was expecting it. The story is bare-bones and blandly shallow, with no immersiveness whatsoever. I didn't care one little bit about the characters. The game is done in first-person view, but the graphics are crappy. They have that cheap blocky look to them. Also, your footsteps are way too loud, and the flashlight is way too bright. It is blinding in small areas, sometimes making screen text very hard to read. When starting up the game, you quickly discover that you will play as Alex, a 19 year old male from Poland who has ADHD and a potty-mouth. Your parents recently moved you and your younger sister to a small town in France because your dad got a good job offer there. However, after a few months, your dad starts drinking. What a very interesting game. I'm a little confused with the story. The scares were pretty good. I plan on going back to finish the rest of the achievements. 9/10 on the pear scale.

i don't know but good game

Alright, ima be honest, this is just horrible. It ain't even scary, it's empty, assets probably have 10,000 polygons for no reason, super repetitive, super empty, unsure what to do, and mostly the fact that it's supposed to be a horror game but isn't scary is just annoying. Genuinely, i have played this and couldn't finish it because i got softlocked! There was little to NO effort on this game! Plus the thumbnail is AI generated.
