The Space Garden

As much as I enjoy games like Space Garden and Plantero, I don't think I can recommend this game. There is a broken achievement and the dev as abandoned this game. No updates and unreachable dev for several years. Quite a few bugs that will never be fixed.

I bought this game easily 5+ years ago and come back to it because I am missing 1 achievement. The game was abandoned by the developer after disabling that achievement. Pros: Cute game Fun music Cons: Can't 100% the game EXTREMELY grindy No idle play, you have to be active or you do not progress Helpers die quickly and you no longer progress if they are dead

This clicker is a nice concept but it ends up feeling low effort because there’s very little polish. Little kids might love it, and it can be a good way to introduce them to keyboard and mouse. If youre looking for a relaxing, mindless game, you could do worse than this.

Game seems abandoned, dev removed an achievement making 100% impossible, and in 5+ years has no fixed or re-added it.

The game itself is relatively solid. The sound design isn't terrible. There's the potential to get sucked into playing it for quite some time. The game pauses if it loses focus. This is a HUGE negative if you, for example, pause the thing you're watching to take a phone call, have a conversation, feed your pet, hit the bathroom, etc. Like, literally anything you do where you wander away - if you don't remember to intentionally click it BACK into focus, it'll halt. If you DO remember to re-focus it, your helpers all die in a matter of a couple of minutes. This is supremely fekkin annoying, because you'll be placing them elsewhere, doing the whole expansion thing that's the point here, not realising that the price has reset down to cheap because all other planets' helpers are dead and the planets are producing no income. So you CONSTANTLY have to bring them back to life by clicking on their graves, which is an annoying maintenance step, or intentionally REPOPULATE them, making sure you scatter them across all your planets again.
