The Stone of God is a fun little RPGMaker game. It starts off a bit slow, since it's introducing the characters one by one, but it really picks up after that. The plot gets to be more interesting as it proceeds, and there are some great twists toward the end that really emphasize the immediate danger the world is in, which I thought was really cool. The maps are the best aspect of the game, made beautifully with incredibly pleasing filter and fog effects, and the tilesets and character art is amazing as well. Animations are basic, though, standard RPGMaker RTP with nothing unique. Battles are passable, but could have been a lot better. Some enemies use unique, original moves, but almost every single ability or spell the heroes use is taken directly from the VX Ace default RTP, which is a huge letdown. I would've liked battles a lot more if the names were changed, different sounds were used, or an attempt to be unique was made. Despite this, battles are still fun and entertaining, just a bit lacking. Overall, I recommend The Stone of God. Its story is interesting, maps are gorgeous, and battles are decent.9 found this helpful
Way too short. Finished it in 6 hours, side quests included. The monsters were easy to beat but the fights were dragged out. You can paralyze them, gets easy after that but they dont die for a longgg longg time. I think that's where they tried to make the game longer but failed terribly. The storyline was short. I waited for it to pick up but it never did.8 found this helpful
The game story was weak and their was no challenge to this game. It ran by itself for 80 hours because I forgot to shut down. For the price, there is MUCH MUCH better value in game hours and complexity - try A Tale of A Common Man. The dialogue in the game had glaringly obvious spelling and grammatical errors - there was just no effort from the game maker to make this fun. Or it was their first day. The maps were simple and all up, there were only about 20 quests. Terrible game. Don't bother.4 found this helpful
A decent, nice little RPG that is fun, easy to play, and doesn't require a lot of brain power. Pros: good story, nice character development, fun Cons: short (finished in 8 hrs with side quests), battles drawn out with no diversity Overall, I think it's a good story that's worth playing, esp if you get it on sale.2 found this helpful

I am going through my backlog trying games I normally wouldn't consider playing. And guess what? My prmonition didn't disappoint me. It is like playing the same game (just a little differences in graphics) again. I've played it now for 3 hours and..there is not enough fun left to play it another second. The plot is overcocked, the graphics the usual RPGMaker, the fights simple (mostly you encounter the same 2 mobs in each region/dungeon).
