This game made me so mad if I could still refund it I would. It's actual garbage and whoever made it needs to find a new job.2 found this helpful
Was this game even playtested? The controls are genuinely that bad I had to switch to easy mode because the auto aim would lock onto enemies behind walls instead of the huge zombie/tank directly in-front of me. This game was so obviously ported to PC from a Nintendo switch because it doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. There are like five missions where you can wallhump your way to an exit point. I know this is a low-blow because obviously this experience was created for a small handheld device, but the character models and animations and zombies are all so ugly. This game was made in 2023 but if you told me it came out the same time as the 2012 mobile games I would've believed you. This game was rushed in development. Andrea and her sister are missing and you can tell because pivotal points in the story are changed to accommodate that. Also none of the second generation of survivors (Tyrus and his gang) show up because the game abruptly ends after the prison blows up. This game did not have the budget or manpower to be realised fully. It should've been a visual novel in the artstyle of the original comics where you can change characters choices in the story. the target audience for this game feels like it was meant to be 7 year-olds wanting a game of a show they know, except what 7 year-old is watching The Walking Dead, especially one in 2023+, and then the target audience heads up towards ~15 year-olds who are experimenting with their gaming choice and at that point I am unsure what adolescent had an itch for a Walking Dead video game, so then it finally comes to the target audience of adults, and no adult in their right mind, even one in their high mind would play this game or enjoy any bit about it. Horrible Performance, Horribly Quality, Minimal Settings, No Custom Controls, Horrible and Clunky Controls, Repetitive Voice Acting, and just bug ridden. This is obviously an unnecessary review as this game is known to be awful, but I went into this game knowing it would be bad, and I was still shocked.
Would rather be zombie chow than play this again
I love The Walking Dead show, but as soon as I saw this game I knew it would be bad. I would only recommend purchasing if it is having a major sale like I did. It didn't provide any real difference from the show even with the "choices" you get to make and was overall not great quality I hoped for a better outcome but oh well.
The stealth in this game makes me wanna rip my eyes out
