About The Walking Dead Onslaught
There’s no rest when survival is on the line. Step into AMC’s The Walking Dead and prepare for an onslaught of walkers as you assume the roles of your favorite characters from the show, and confront the horrors and humanity of this apocalyptic new world.
The war with the Saviors has finally come to an end, but the damage lingers in the hearts of those who survived it. It will take risk and sacrifice to mend this broken society and rebuild what remains of Alexandria for future generations. Are prepared to do your part?
Play as Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and Carol and set up your home base in the Alexandria Safe Zone. Here, you’ll play through chapters of an all-new story, embark on Scavenger runs, upgrade your player stats, modify and customize weapons, trade in resources to grow your community, and interact with your favorite characters. Successfully complete supply runs, and you’ll see Alexandria transform as you rebuild the settlement into a fortified bastion of hope for humanity’s future.
Stave off the walker threat wielding 24 ranged and melee weapons—including iconic pieces from the show— with realistic handling and intuitive VR motion mechanics. Experience the visceral Progressive Dismemberment system that realistically depicts your every attack against the undead. Discover a variety of modifications for each weapon to fine-tune and suit your combat style.
Leave nothing behind. Every trip beyond the walls of Alexandria means a chance to collect valuable weapons, food, materials, and other resources for the community. But beware: every supply run provides unpredictable walker encounters, resource availability, and obstacles to test your sense of flight or fight.
Play as Daryl Dixon through an original campaign story about a supply run gone awry and an ensuing encounter with a watchful stranger in a mysterious town.

Download the mod "TWD Slaughter" from Nexusmods.com to fix all the bad weapons in the base game.5 found this helpful
Thought i'd give this a try while on sale. I still can not bring myself to like it. I tried to give it a chance. Do yourself a favour and buy TWD SS instead.1 found this helpful
It could be good, but it feels catastrophically bad. I don't know why, but no matter what settings I try, the game's visuals look smudgy and distorted. My PC isn't weak, and my Quest 3 isn't the issue either, so I really don't know what's causing it. At this point, I don't know what to blame.
Honestly, I came into this game hearing about how bad it was, especially compared to TWD Saints and Sinners, yet I found the game honestly super fun. It's not your typical open-world zombie VR game, it'd linear semi open I guess? I'm not too sure but the game is super fun, I haven't tried any mods, just straight vanilla and I'm honestly having such a good time, the base building and what-not kinda reminds me of State of Decay 2 and I honestly just think its a fun game, there are some quirks with it however. I would recommend this, but dont come into it expecting another saints and sinners, its much more of like a mobile game version of saints and sinners
Played on Meta Quest 3 via Link cable. Not good. Maybe only bother if you're on a journey to consume every single piece of TWD media. Let me complain about everything I can think of: Physics & Interaction: Pretty much aint there. You use your "grabbing hand" (you left hand - not sure if it lets you switch) to simply point at something and pressing your grab key would magically pick items up. None of the props have physics or respond to impacts. Your weapons stick to your "weapon hand" so there isn't interactivity there either. Doors and containers swing open by simply touching them with your hand or weapon. Melee: Your weapons clip through the zombies, so you'd simply wave you hand through them. Minimal physical effort needed to kill -- simply doesn't feel great. I've only done limited testing, but blade/sharp weapons seem to be wholly inferior to blunt weapons because armored zombies (like almost half the zombies are riot cops) seem completly impervious to slashes from the katana - but drop dead with two flicks from the little hammer. Guns: Just "okay", I suppose. Reloading consists of pressing a key to unload your gun - then having a gun mag magically atta…
