From the first glance, you might thought Majo Koi Nikki is a moege due to its pinky white background, cute moe looking heroines, and sakura petals. I will tell you that your judgement is wrong, just like mine. I thought I will be getting a boring meh slice of life romance story but instead I get something absurd and completely out of my expectation. Let's just say that Majo Koi Nikki is not a turn off brain visual novel, you actually need a life-support for your brain to truly experience this visual novel. The story is very complex, confuse, whatever you call it. It actually requires you to fully invest your attention to every single details, every foreshadowing that is being told throughout all of the routes before Konron's route. And with those kept in mind, reaching Konron's route will definitely answer at least 40% of the story and True route answer the rest of 60%. If you hang in there and reach to the end of the story, everything will be rewarded and you will be satisfy. I liked Majo Koi Nikki and all of its strange characters. Konron was my favorite girl, but her route repeated itself in some areas. 8/10

For those Boomers that remember HBO's "Showcase" channel and the late night risque softcore pron show called "Red Shoe Diaries" around the early 2000's starring David Duchovny, this is almost the exact same format, only it's intertwining stories that are related, not random stories unrelated with submissions sent in to David's weird sex office. And instead of a distracting Agent Mulder from X-files, it's an anime Waifu called Alice and she's endearing enough so far, more so than David's creepy stares as transitions would fade one cut scene into the next. It's story is a bit meta, and if I'm being honest, it's kind of interesting so far. In the sense that you're constantly feeling as involved as the protagonist, Alice, and wondering in what way is this macguffin plot point diary going to coincide with the next sexcapade written in the diary. So far, it all feels like these are the sorts of stories that some rando would fantasise about Rule 34 pairings in their head, but not actually commit to writing down, and they make about as much sense as to why male protage-kun manages to wrestle the sheets with any and all women he meets.
