Witchy Life Story

This is such a cute, chill game! Perfect for a lazy day or an afternoon. Witchy Life Story is about your witch, which starts out a little full of themselves and not totally caring about the consequences of their actions or those around them. But as they get to know the other villagers and craft some aesthetically pleasing spells to help them, they start to learn that caring about others is at the heart of magic. I really loved the gameplay in this and getting to know everyone!

I think for the price tag this game isn't really worth it. It is about 16 pounds not on sale and it is about 2 hours of play time to complete the game. As this is a visual novel (a tag I unfortunately missed when I bought this game) it can be quite repetitive and a lot of just tapping, though this is just my opinion as someone who doesn't like visual novel games. The mechanics of the game are really not many I think this is probably because of the type of game it is but it can make it kind of dull. I gave it two play throughs to fully decide my opinions, which for me it is not worth the money for the amount of play time that you get. I think this game would be great if it had some more interesting mechanics and better developments of the characters, so unfortunately overall I can't recommend. :/ If you like cosy visual novels this game is for you but I would personally recommend waiting until it is on sale as it does have a steep price for the amount of play time and the mechanics in the game which are limited.

I liked parts of it but the writing felt immature and basic. The game has a lot of potential just seems like the story telling was lacking and not exactly what was advertised in my opinion.

This was such a sweet game. The art is simple and beautiful. The characters are fun to get to know, and the growth of your own protagonist is very satisfying to watch. This is a great short-form game - took me a little over 4 hours to finish but it felt rich, complete, and satisfying. I do think a sequel could be fun because I feel very fond of all of the characters and I'm sad to say goodbye to them (much like the protagonist!), but the vibes were immaculate and I recommend for any cozy gamer who likes a bright, compelling story, gorgeous artwork, and getting to know a small cast of lovable characters.
