About Witchy Life Story

You’re the youngest member of the illustrious, magical von Teasel family, but you’re not exactly their pride and joy. In fact, your grandmother has given you one last chance to prove yourself — or no more witch training for you!
And so you arrive in the small village of Flora, along with your crow familiar, Ramsey. You have two weeks to help the locals prepare their harvest festival for success, and prove your worth to — well, everyone.
Design your troublesome witch however you see fit, with a ton of customization options. There’s no excuse for not looking your best!
Tend your garden to collect plants to use in your magical recipes, as well as other rituals and experiments that are totally, definitely Official Witch Business.
Fill orders from your neighbors for small spells like relaxation incense or chitchat potions. After all, if you don’t use magic to solve everyday problems, what’s the point of having a village witch anyway?Craft spells, perform tarot readings, lead guided meditations, and more. Maybe you’ll throw in an extra rune or two for more potency? That definitely won’t backfire!

Get to know the charming residents of Flora including three romance-able characters. Will you end up with a date to the festival?
Two weeks is plenty of time to plan a village festival and make some questionable life choices along the way! Of course, it’s also plenty of time to cast a village into total chaos…
Will you help, or hex?

It is a really cozy game with beautiful art and a warm autumn atmosphere that made me feel like I was living in a magical little village. 🍂🪻✨ At the beginning of the game, you can customize your own witch and get to know all of the charming villagers. You also have your adorable companion, Ramsey the crow. The gameplay is very relaxing. You spend your days growing herbs, crafting potions, reading tarot cards, performing little rituals, and helping the townspeople with their problems. It's more of a visual novel than a life sim, so expect lots of dialogue and story with some light crafting and gardening instead of deep gameplay. What I liked most was how cozy and stress free everything felt. The characters were interesting, the magical tasks were cute, and I always looked forward to seeing what the next day would bring. The biggest downside for me was that the gameplay became repetitive after a while. Most of the time you're reading conversations and completing similar crafting tasks, so if you're expecting an open world or complex farming mechanics, you might be disappointed. I also wished my choices had a bigger impact on the story and that there were more activities to do each…7 found this helpful
3/5 stars Overall It wasn't bad but it was misleading. Its a visual novel with one game mechanic. I'm glad I got this when it went on sale because I think at full price it is not worth it. Pros- Beautiful Artwork! Cons- So much dialogue with few options to actually make a choice. Tarot. You have it in the game and use it once. There is nothing else to it...Which is a shame because that would of been a fun add on!! Gardening- I wanted more from this area Runes. Mention once and never again The story has a solid foundation and I wanted more!5 found this helpful
Difficult to play. Every line of dialogue comes with a boop noise you cannot switch off and it's making me crazy. None of the sound sliders affect it. Having to play completely muted, which means I don't get to experience any music or anything. The character you play is rude and childish. So far not liking that. You get to customise the character a little, and name them, but I'd suggest not naming them after yourself unless you also happen to be a bratty teenager lol.1 found this helpful
Was hoping to give this game a shot for once. Then I make my character, wish to continue and actually play, and the game just completely freezes/crashes every time after 2 seconds on the Loading screen. Waited almost 10 minutes for something to happen, but nothing happens. I guess for me this game is just a basic character creator...nothing else.1 found this helpful

Witchy Life Story is a super cute and relaxing game, clearly made with a lot of heart. The character, UI, and background art are all gorgeous and so cohesive, as is the soundtrack. I found all of the characters endearing (especially Ruth!) and loved the player character's journey and development. The game is a little rough around the edges, though, and could've used some additional mechanics or events to make gameplay feel a little more exciting and less repetitive, as well as a copyeditor to catch the (many) typos in the script. I loved the gardening and crafting components and would've loved more in those areas. Overall, though, it's still a great game. Finally, considering that I finished the game in about 4.5 hours at a fairly leisurely pace, the ordinary price is a bit steep, so I do recommend waiting for a sale.
