I was left a tad confused and wanting more from Throw Me in the River but the ride was a good one. You’re basically reliving a dying man’s moments from his life. I ended up with more questions at the end then when I started but I still enjoyed the story. The visuals were very well done and a style I don’t see used in Ren’Py much so it was nice to see something more unique than I’m used to. There were a good amount of choices to be had throughout. I played Throw Me in the River on Linux using Valve’s Proton. It never crashed on em and I didn’t notice any spelling errors. Alt-Tab didn’t work. I could manually save whenever I wanted and there were fifty four save slots for that. Game Engine: Ren’Py 7.3.5.606 Game Version Played: 1.2.1 Disk Space Used: 1.17 GB CPU Usage: 6-14 % RAM Usage: 2.8-3.2 GB I finished the game in thirty three minutes so the game isn’t a super long one at all but it didn’t feel rushed and made use of it’s short time with a good story. I paid $2.74 CAD for it and felt that was very fair value. This is a great visual novel! The writing and the characters are well formed and match nicely with the art and music. Overall it was an emotional and contemplative experience, and the creator's commentary adds a lot of depth. Would definitely recommend.
