Tiny Tactics

Like many reviewers here, I also almost stopped playing this game after just 1-2 hours. Too hard. Too random. Too many unit classes. Units too weak. Not enough room to build or create a legitimate maze. Etc. But I then decided to give it at least another try....And I'm SO glad I did!! 60+ hours later, I have never looked back as this game is rapidly becoming one of my favorite TD games ever! As I kept playing it, all the annoyances listed above initially going against it suddenly became interesting elements going in its favor. As you get to know the units (aka Towers) and get familiar with the various types and classes, and how powerful it is to add several units of the same types to the battlefield - or the immense power they gain when you upgrade them, the more you realize the so many tactical options available. The 'tiny' but yet varied maps for each of the many levels, strangely succeed in giving us a great freedom of placement, while yet forcing us to be quite strategic at the same time about how we will want to approach each round. And here's another 'tiny' tip for you: Yes trying to build the longest maze is sometimes the best way to go, but prioritizing pure firepower, …

Fun character design, and animations. The waves are peculiar and offbeat. The class and upgrade system is relatively simple, but satisfying when you get rolls in your favor. Once you get all of the unlockable buffs the game gets fairly easy, even in nightmare modes. However if you need something to do while watching youtube or a tv show, it's perfect for low stakes multi-tasking.

Got it on sale for $0.99 and still feels barely worth it. It’s missing a ton of basic QoL features, like not being able to move the camera at all, not being able to hover over your active units to remind yourself what the types do, and having no visible debuffs on enemies so you can’t even tell if certain effects are actually working. There are also no mana bars for abilities, so you have no idea when or how they’re being charged. For some reason, about a quarter of the top right portion of the screen is also super blurry. It’s not the worst game I’ve ever played, and I think there’s some potential here, but overall it feels like a game made by people who don’t actually play games. It just feels very clunky and unpolished.

Really bad

Very nice TD. Some towers are very bad others very good, but overall you need to balance strategy to acomplish the quests. You can spend some time and have fun, for a cheap price this game is definitely a buy. Go with hard or nightmare otherwise it will be ridiculous easy and not worth the time. There is not a lot o maze building since the space is pretty "tailored" on each map, but yeah you can do some. Recommend this game for TD lovers.

I paid $0.99 and I still want my money back. Its Auto chess style units + minimal td mazing and that is legit it. There really isn't even a UX to hold the game together.
