Tome of the Damned

The controls on this game are just awful. The right trigger on my XBox controller isn't registering at all, and the keyboard controls are basically unusable. There is no way to remap controls, so this is basically a non-starter for me. On top of that, character health bars are small, canted at weird diagonals and red against a mostly red background. Half the time I couldn't even tell if I was dealing damage. Refund requested. Edited to add: Controller is a PowerA Spectra Enhanced XBox controller. It's functioning just fine in other games and when tested with joy.cpl

Refund requested. Controls are a mess and the color scheme is terrible for being able to see what is going on onscreen. More often than not your attacks completely miss the enemy and attack in the opposite direction of the enemy on screen. There may be something here but not in its current state.

Great roguelike! Nice atmosphere and combat. It's a bit like Hades... A nice way have a good time.

When people are saying this game sucks and that the controls are the worst, they are not joking or being picky AT ALL. I swear...in my whole nearly 40 years of gaming...I have NEVER seen such terrible controls in my life. First of all...you can't change the controls. Secondly, you use keyboard to control the char's mov and the mouse to attack and cast spells. I like this kind of set up, but the problem is that in this one you CAN'T aim with the mouse. Your character won't face where the mouse is pointing, it's fully controlled by the keyboard. So...you have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea to where the char is aiming the spells that doesn't have the cast indicator. And to make everything worse...the character takes 365 days to turn around. It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow. It's not even near fast as these videos are indicating. And there are so much problems in your movement and dash...probably glitches. Your dash doesn't cancel your attacks and is consumed without dashing if you try to cancel atttack and spell animations, it enters on cooldown without dashing. There are TONS of collision issues.
