About Trail Breaking
Trail Breaking is a First-Person Adventure/Puzzle game set in multiple fantasy worlds. You will start your adventure as a hiker setting out on what would normally be a typical stroll on a beautiful morning. You will soon encounter a detour that will lead you from the marked trail and into a mysterious cave. Upon investigating the cave, you find a strange box. When opened, a great magical force envelopes the room drawing you into a portal. You are dropped into strange, wondrous, and dangerous new worlds. Your goal is to solve puzzles, survive, and make it to the next portal in hopes of finding the one that leads back home.

Absolutely awful. Clunky gameplay and controls, it's really annoying finding a path through a series of invisble walls, finding almost random places where you need to jump and then having to backtrack to find a way through over and over. The graphics lack any realism - even the font for example used on the menus looks amaturish. It's WAY too expensive for what it is. My recommendation would be to pull the release, finish it, and re-release when it's actually polished.10 found this helpful
This has the makings of a"gem" of a game...... If exploration, puzzle solving and arachnophobia are your thing then this is the game for you. Although you may experience long loading times, a slightly "borked" save system and a frustrating difficulty level, I still rate this release highly. The recent update has improved the game somewhat. I hope the dev will continue to support it with future updates. Overall I give it 8/106 found this helpful
Trail Breaking may have been a really great game. It looked beautiful in the advertisements (screenshots). The issue is simply that it is unable to run. After posting for help in the forum I am told that the error which prevents me from launching this game is quite common. Well,,so I suppose I simply have to mark off another title as being unplayable and swallow the cash. After awhile this gets to be so exaperating that you just wonder why. Having met all the requirements and fully exceeded them the question remains. Why? I look at the forum and I see numerous other people posting the same exact error. How does one scrutinise that? The only way to best describe the situation is tragic and unfortunate. Indeed,as I was told, this error is quite common. Well then I suppose quite a lot of other people have experienced buying a game such as this and been unable to even launch. The feeling is liken to falling down a deep hole in which there is no bottom.Someone in the futrre may see this error and recognise some way to fix it. So I will post it here for that simple reason: The UE-4 Trailbreaking Game has crashed and will close. LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\Build\++UE4+Release-4…4 found this helpful
This is a gorgeous-looking first-person puzzle adventure game that has you move between multiple different fantasy worlds. Its single strongest aspect is undoubtedly its sense of place and ambiance, which is carried off very effectively and really pulls you into a foreign, potentially-unfriendly fantasy environment filled with beauty and danger. Terrible controls make it too hard when jumping onto surfaces. I spent most of my play time in the first part of the game just trying to jump onto boulders that I was stood right next to and each time the jump would fall just a little too short. Try a different angle and still the jump fails. Jump after jump after jump and then maybe on the tenth or twelth jump you succeed. Then onto the next jump and away we go again with the falling. The game looks pretty and for others the game seems to work, but for me it was pure frustration. Can't recommend.2 found this helpful
The game was a total fail for me and I love puzzle games. Without giving too much away which, I can hardly do since I didn't get far anyway, constantly getting stuck, there was no way forward that I could find, I tried for 30 minutes in a SMALL area to go forward and couldn't find one. It did offer for me (at the start of the game ) to plug in VR which I don't have so I don't know if that would show something different or not but for my money and myself I would give this a thumbs down. Also, no keybinding options, no brighten options- the game was very dark but then again, that could be due to me not having VR.1 found this helpful
