TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials

Transformers: Galactic Trails is a barely-polished and lackluster attempt at a Transformers racing game. Don't get me wrong, the concepts here are fantastic, but the execution is so poor that I wouldn't recommend this game, even if it was free. The gameplay is quite fun when you start playing but then quickly gets boring. There are sections were you fight in robot mode and the running feels really sluggish and just dampens the overall experience. The lack of maps also make this game insanely repetitive and hard to play. On top of that, each character has such a limited number of voice lines (which are either catchphrases or terrible quips) that you end up getting annoyed listening to everyone speak.

I've played 26 minutes of this game, and let me say that's all the enjoyment you can get out of it. Super slow (for a racing game), terrible handling on all the bots, bot sections were horrid.

Transformers: Galactic Trials (TGT) is a simple racing game following the kart and fun with family formula with a slight innovative twist. The game features vehicle combat and bot combat having the player bash other vehicles or transforming into bot mode to shoot. I got this game on a 13 dollar discount and I would say it is worth this price but for the overall game do not buy it for the price totally not worth it. Its a fun and yet challenging racing game you can turn your mind off, having the player get upgrades after every race and seeing how far you can get with a somewhat high skill ceiling of chaining bashes and drifts together. overall get this game at a discount and enjoy the fun little easter eggs and races packed into this game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7/10 game: I love that part where bumblebee gets shot to death in skybound #numberonebumblebeehater

Transformers: Galactic Trials is a really interesting take on the franchise, combining arcade racing with combat in a way that works surprisingly well. Switching between vehicle and robot mode during races keeps things interesting, and there’s a satisfying incentive to take out specific opponents when you’re trying to unlock new weapons and upgrades. The tracks are also more interesting than I expected, with different layouts and hazards encouraging you to learn when to boost, attack and save your abilities. There’s definitely a bit of a grind to the progression, but there’s something about it that keeps you wanting to play just one more race. The different character classes also give the game a little more depth than you might initially expect. And as a lifelong Transformers fan, I’m always happy to see some of my favourite characters like Soundwave and Wheeljack being included. There are, however, a few things that hold it back for me. Growing up with the original G1 Transformers, I really wish the visuals had gone for a brighter, more colourful cartoon aesthetic. Outrageous to expect $39.99 for what is essentially maybe 10 hours of content. This is yet another example of generic shovel-ware to get a quick buck.

I don't play it much but i can give em a good thumbs up. also its satisfiying to just press Q and watch them... ER-A-A-A-ER-A-A-A.
