An incredible hidden gem of a game. Exploring feels actually challenging, the cooking system left me satiated and the small quests given by the characters you find on your path made me curious about the lore. And the best thing: it's FREE to play! Give it a try.

A completely brilliant bite-sized game! Incredible that this is free - would happily have paid something for this. In terms of what you are getting, this is somewhat reminiscent of the (much bigger but also free) Moon Ring in drawing inspiration from the early Ultima games, but this very much has its own identity. Particularly nails that 80s RPG feeling of open-ended exploration as it just gives you a map and lets you roam around with very little guidance. A really interesting game mechanically, too, in that the combat is auto-resolved, so it is more about having the correct equipment and consumables to prevail. Really interesting focus on consumables here, actually, with finding, cooking and eating the right things for your circumstances forming a core mechanic to progress. Six hours is a relatively complete playthrough, so it doesn't overstay its welcome either - a real little gem that should be better-known.

My brain: "Go pack your bags and see the world." Me: Plays this instead. Traveller's Hymn sounds like a deeply spiritual, grand adventure where you discover the meaning of life while walking through majestic landscapes. In reality? It’s a beautifully crafted, incredibly addictive game that will make you completely forget that you’ve been staring at your monitor in your underwear for five hours straight. It’s charming, it’s relaxing, and it has that magical "just five more minutes" power that will slowly ruin your sleep schedule. If you want a great journey without the actual leg pain, airport delays, or lost luggage—this is the perfect hymn for you. 10/10, would get virtually lost again.

its free a great time killer and its fun wish i could use the num pad to move also a little slow movement wise but thats not that bad i played for 5 hours so far and only stopping because i have work. there is no down side to dieing other that you have to walk back to where you where at and you lose some gold which doesnt mater when you have like 500 gold and good gear. cant wait to see more of the map. may the frog god bless you.
