What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's fulfillment of a long-sought Xianxia open-world experience and acknowledge its potential despite its rough state, but they widely criticize pervasive technical issues including a locked 30fps framerate, frequent game-breaking bugs that cause progress loss, poor optimization, AI-generated art, lack of tutorials, and character design inconsistencies that suggest an unfinished or rushed product. While some players are willing to support its early access journey, others feel the game is fundamentally unpolished and question whether it should have been released publicly in
The creator(s) asked me to review this game so I did because it was the first time I have been asked to review a game so I was very excited to play it. They told me to review it honestly so this is my honest opinion. The use of AI art, The lack of plot, the way you can get stuck on every screen that pops up and the way the designs of the character models don't even match up with each other are all signs that this game is just lazy and thrown together slop. If I was a dev I wouldn't have even given this to the public as early access. The flaws are insane and so there are too many to miss. If this isn't a joke or scam then this is just a game that won't go anywhere.10 found this helpful
This game sucks. I lost everything. Multiple times.2 found this helpful
It needs a lot of work, but its a cultivation game so it got my purchase. Water is not your friend though, avoid the water.2 found this helpful
I have been searching for a Xianxia Open world game for so long and this is something that has fulfilled it. although the game needs refining and bug fixing, its something i'm willing to wait be part of that journey. few things i disliked is there is no tutorial that explains certain things and how every major update dramatically changes how things proceed (example starting village and sect entry). Overall i like the game very much and looking forward for more content and features unlocked.1 found this helpful
I wanted to try and ideally like this game, but its basic settings don't even work. Why bother putting in a framerate option if the game is locked to 30fps no matter what you do? Doesn't matter what visual settings it's on, or if you turn on Vsync, doesn't matter if it's in windowed or fullscreen, doesn't matter what resolution you set it to, doesn't matter if you manually input the framerate into the config file, it's just locked to 30fps. On top of that you can't even access the games settings without going back to the main menu. I can't speak to whether or not the game is actually good, because I can't even turn the camera without it looking choppy and horrible due to the FPS lock. It's unfortunate because there's a real shortage of games like this for the western audience and I was looking forward to trying it, but a 30FPS cap is a deal breaker for me, so I'll unfortunately be refunding it. Maybe I'll check back in on it in the future to see if this has been fixed, though I'm not going to hold my breath on that. Best of luck to the dev, but this is a no from me in its current state.
The game has a lot of potential and I already spent some hours playing it and had a lot of fun, some mechanics are still problematic though. I don't like how any hit can interrupt your spells. If spells have to be interrupt able then at least make it so that they don't go on cool down if casting fails. Other than that I have no problems and I'd love to see this game get polished and play a lot more of it.
