✦ AI summary
Players are sharply divided on this VR block-clearing game. Supporters praise it as a fun and creative take on Tetris for virtual reality, while critics dismiss it as an unambitious tech demo that oversimplifies the genre by replacing falling blocks with arm-waving mechanics, lacking the depth and polish of the original concept. The game's core appeal or frustration appears to hinge entirely on whether players find the VR control scheme engaging or gimmicky.

"Unblocking" is a pointless VR tech demo, a weak ripoff of Tetris only, somehow, even more dumbed down. What do you do in the game? Wave your arms around in VR to drag blocks onto a tetris grid to make lines, because the devs couldn't work out falling block mechanics I guess. Game development is hard, but it's ok, you don't need to actually be good at game development, all you have to do is make your game VR exclusive and the cash rolls in... right? The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics aren't great, Lazy minimum effort low poly stuff. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. Yo…1 found this helpful
An all-around fun game and a great spin on Tetris in VR!
A headache inducing mess of a game, I enjoy block clearing games with intelligent and intuitive game mechanics but this ain't one of them, avoid.
