‘CubeHook VR’ is a tabletop style strategy game in which you have to keep doubling up cubes that you catapult into the table to make them combine to the highest points possible. So a 4 hitting 4 turns into a 8, then a 32 hitting a 32 turns into a 64. There is no tutorial here, you just kind of get on with it. While it does sound boring I have to admit it was more engaging than I thought it would be and I did start to have some fun. But when I realised that I needed a score of 6000 just to unlock the next level I instantly gave up. When a game like this with very little content needs to have ALL unlocked straight away, if not easier to unlock at least. With its bare-bones graphics and very repetitive gameplay I don’t think I can recommend this at the moment. But I will try harder to unlock more levels and update this review if I ever manage to do so.1 found this helpful
might not be everyone cup of tea but i enjoyed it! Idea is simple and fun, gameplay is intuitive and when you are just looking for something to relax and chill, that actually does the job very well! before i knew it i already played couple of hours. Game can get repetitive at some point so i hope more content and overall polish will be added especially for the steam version. Otherwise, the Quest native version is much more recommended. Lots of luck to the devs in the future!
