Unheim is a great anomaly type game with a lot to offer ! However, it is poorly handled in some places, but it doesn't make it unfun ! - As I said previously, this game is an anomaly type game with different levels. This game also offers some entities for each section that have their own mechanics, and this is awesome ! I really enjoyed the addition of these monsters, even if I would have enjoyed if their mechanic was explained a bit better as it can get a bit confusing. - The biggest problem I have with the gameplay is with the tools provided on the cameras, as most of them will never be used by the player (at least for my part, it didn't feel like I needed any, only on rare occasions). At the same time, the anomalies appear way too quickly, and it quickly just becomes a game of where you report an anomaly constantly, and it can get tiring. I wish they would turn down the density of anomalies, in order to emphasize more on the tools for other stuff. - I love the introduction of the Twitch Integration, I had fun with my chat with it^^ It would be cool if there were more stuff they could do however, and even with channel points, because it is quite limited. don't wet yourself.
I really enjoyed that! Good jump scares, more cozy horror than mega scary. Played on steam deck which worked very well, the document text at the 'game over' screen was impossible to read but that's a very minor complaint. What I'd love is some sort of anomaly index, I wasn't sure what I was looking for at times and failed a lot. The things I did think were anomalies often didn't match the report description so didn't count. Made it so I needed to go through them all until it was deemed correct which felt annoying. I don't stream on twitch, is it possible to have an option to disable that screen in game? There's a lot happening in the van already lol Overall great game with minor issues that can be easily fixed!
A very interesting take and expansion on the "Observation Duty"-type gameplay. The addition of an endless mode is amazing as well.
This has been a very fun game I would recommend this to people who like horror like myself.
Perfect game.
