VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.[/b] [i](TL:DR WARNING)[/i] [hr][/hr] After almost 200 hours, I think it's safe to say Vanguard Galaxy has completely hooked me. The concept is fantastic: a relaxing space sandbox where you can mine, salvage, trade, fight, craft, level your captain and crew, collect and refit ships, and gradually explore farther into a procedurally generated galaxy. One of my favorite things about the game is how well it combines active and idle gameplay. When I want to actively play, I can fly around, fight, mine, salvage, manage equipment and work on my ships. When I want to watch something or do something else, ECHO and the autopilot can handle a lot of the repetitive work. That gives Vanguard Galaxy its own identity and makes it surprisingly relaxing. [h2]Ships and progression are the highlight[/h2] The ships are easily one of the best parts of the game. There are a lot of them, and upgrading isn't simply "this ship has bigger numbers, therefore throw the old one away." Seems like it should be a fun game, and I keep waiting for the fun to start but it never does. The idle part is useless and the active play is boring and slow. Pass on it.

Got it because it was similar to Star Valor. so far it seems to be better and more in depth and i have had a lot of fun.

This game is a gem. It's got a bit of depth to customisation or career path. The skill tree is good. I love the progression. Hopefully we will get a lot more updates with stations etc. The Devs seem pretty dedicated! I also love the switch to idle gaming if you want to, Worked all day today with it at the bottom of my screen apart from the odd break. Great way to keep a small amount of progression and interest! One of the best Idle games I have played

Quite enjoyed my time in this game, but run out of actitvities very fast. It's an ARPG in space sim clothing with item system using lvl to deside stats of equipment. Spent 4 days on main quest and side ones, all the other 500+ hours spent on getting best ship and equipment, trying different loadouts and letting the game play itself in idle mode while sleeping and working. For now game seriously lacking end game activities, only patrol and bounty missions with infinite scaling with lvl 100+ enemies having billions of hitpoins and diabolical regeneration, so each run takes hours to finish while you have nothing to do but watch this boring spectacle. By the time i wrote this, developers are working on fleet mechanics, own faction and even bigger ships, so all left for me is to wait. Free advice to save your time, first thing after buying this game, go to guides section in community section and read boarding guide. Boarding is the main source of best ships, modules and weapons, so it's obligatory to learn how to use it. Don't be scared, nothing hard there.
