Love this game. Really scratches the itch that Hellraid left vacant. I was a huge fan of Heretic/Hexen as a kid, and was really looking forward to Hellraid, when the conceptual Venture Forth work came along! I followed them way back from their early Kickstarter days, and the team is extremely respectful, focused, and determined! If you were a Heretic or Hexen fan, and were really looking forward to Hellraid, this is definitely a game you should try out. The ambiance is there. The sound effects and puzzles are there. It has a real procedural feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and came back to it many times because it's so easy to get immersed. I can't think of much else to say. I just really recommend you try the game out. Huge love letter to the 90's and done so very well. You can feel the love in every area, and that is something extremely rare with games these days. Also, I have many many hours on record, so ignore Steam being stupid. I think that's because the game just launched, or whatever. No idea.

Abandoned game. Has the making of a decent game, but it's broken and incomplete. Hasn't received an update in over three years. Don't waste your money.

Fun

I liked it, reminds me of retrogaming. Maybe old school Zelda and Wolfenstein, walking the long hallways fighting monsters. The Ice Phoenix Birds are a bit hard to kill though. Overall if you are looking for a DnD type dungeon crawler this is the one for you. Overall I like these types of games for the exploration aspect of it so its my new go to game for wasting time for sure.
