About Verdant Skies
Verdant Skies is a life simulation game born from a love for games like Harvest Moon and a desire to create something unique with modern gameplay and deep storytelling. Lose yourself in the lovingly hand-painted alien world of Viridis Primus. Ensure the success of the colony as you make friends and pursue romance with a diverse cast of characters. Demonstrate your mastery of the farming system by creating the perfect crop hybrid using the genetic splicing machine - or spend your days painting and making pottery. The possibilities are endless!
With many natural skin tone options and tons of unique hair styles and clothing choices you can easily craft your perfect avatar. Unlike many games in this genre, Verdant Skies doesn't ask you to choose a gender when you create your character. As you help to grow the colony, you will unlock additional datable residents.
Split your time wisely between activities as you help to build your colony. Gather resources, decorate your home, grow crops, go spear fishing, cook interesting meals, befriend your fellow colonists, and maybe even fall in love...
Verdant Skies has support for modding, players have created artwork replacement mods, new characters, extra tips, and more! If you love Verdant Skies, check out Forager and Staxel!

Almost all my 4,8 hours ingame were wasted with an unbelievably clunky interface in a very unsatisfying character-creation and a bit of looking for scrap and such with bad grafics , again with a very clunky interface untlil I just gave up and uninstalled and hid the game as a waste of money .2 found this helpful
This game almost feels embarrassing to own. The graphics are bad, the characters are boring, the gameplay is repetitive and boring. The setting feels empty. It almost feels like a child with a minimal amount of imagination created the game. Not to mention, some of the gameplay is even so convoluted, you don't even want to do it. It shifts between boring and "wtf is this?"1 found this helpful
Writing a long overdue review, thank the developer for it as I just saw they gave an update enabling steam deck support which im massively in favour of! I played Verdant Skies quite some time ago, and even on a previous PC ago, and have to say it was exceptionally charming. Characters that are engaging and don't feel cookie cutter, some gorgeous art, and it really scratched the itch between cozy chill progression and early colony development. Progression is quite tightly interwoven with your relationships with various townspeople, and the upgrades that the colony gets as you move on are noticable both aesthetically and QoL wise. Oh and naturally, romancable characters. Always a fun time! For anyone with a deck wanting a more relaxed town/colony sim, I'd give this a solid reccommend. And to the dev, jolly good show old chap! More of this sort of thing!1 found this helpful
I SMASHED this game in like 3 days. Some of the mechanics are confusing at first but then you realize it's a lot easier than you think. My only criticism is that some of the controls are a little stiff and before you get the speed upgrade you walk infuriatingly slow. That being said I literally couldn't put this down for three days straight
Really fun! I only have three hours played on Steam, but that's because I actually got this ages ago in the Itch racial justice bundle; I've played for ages! The highlight of this game is definitely the DNA splicing system, which lets you customize your plants' (and, later, animals') traits through the medium of puzzly fun. Growing crops is satisfying, too (though not so much the endless watering XD), and aspects like the home decoration offer enjoyable variety. It's a pretty easy game, which some may dislike, but I actually prefer when games are easy, so that just makes it better for me. I'm personally not big on the dating sim aspect (everyone's a bit too fluffy for my tastes), but I appreciate how many different characters you unlock to fill out your colony as time goes on, and completing everyone's collections is an entertaining challenge. I also like the little cutscenes for each relationship heart. The UI can be a little rough around the edges and finding scrap gets tedious, but the scenery is pretty, the gameplay loop is satisfying, and you can tell the game was made with love. Overall, I really liked it, and would recommend. Edit: Also, I'm on a Mac, and even though I get …
This game is sublime. The characters are really well done, while being the typical stereotypes. A good game for relaxing, there is no sense of a time crunch.
